might as well make this my build thread so here it goes!

i've been a mitsu fanboy for 10 years now and had a many 3000gt's, recently decided to get into dsm's.
picked up this car in pretty decent condition for 600 bucks. #3 had 0 compression but it still ran. AC works which is a huge plus so pretty good deal overall!

yanked the motor out and got to building it:

.250 wall wrist pins, BEEFY!

ARP main studs(black) and ARP L19 head studs(wrapped up in paper)

longblock consists of:
stock polished crank, 2L displacement
ARP main stud kit
Wiseco 9:1 HD pistons with .250 wall wrist pins
Manley Ibeam 'turbo tuff' rods
deleted oil squirters
new oil pump/water pump
OEM MLS headgasket clamped by L19 head studs
buschur racing stage 3 ported head with Orings for high boost sealing

sorry about the crappy phone pics but thats all i have right now.
the goal of this build is not bling but function, i might paint or powdercoat some brackets later on but its not of high importance.

upon firing up the car, 2 valves got bent yanked it out and took it to Auto Machine Supply in ft worth. Steve checked out the head and told me that buschur didnt set the valve stem height properly, so much for paying big $$ for supposedly top notch parts :/ another thing that really irked me about the head is, they didnt do ANYTHING to the combustion chambers so the factory casting flaws were still there. almost 2000 bucks for a 'top of the line race head' and its not even done right... GG

got the head back and slapped it back on.
did a few pulls and imported them into virtual dyno, more info here: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...-software.html

this is with a what i THINK is a 16g turbo and everything else (exhaust, intercooler, fuel system) bone stock, not too shabby.
next things to do on the list are FMIC and exhaust, i have a bosch 044 pump, 880 injectors and fpr/filter ready to install also, this is all temporary though. the final goal is a PTE 7675 with twin 044's and FIC 2150's on E85. that will probably come after new years.

and finally some crappy quality phone pics of the car
