Question for my NTEC peeps...

As you know my wing took a krap, what do you guys think of Rexpeed's Type-C Carbon spoiler? I know its ugly, but it covers the damage in my trunk and obviously all the holes in the trunk with one quick fix. Whats your opinion.

Vic

I think that looks awful to be honest. I'd rather keep breaking wings than have that one. Just my personal opinion Vic!

I dont like it either, but accomplishes a couple of things...

I really dont want a carbon trunk $$
I would need to fix my trunk to sport the evo8 wing $
I would need to fix the evo8 wing $
I would like a OEM TB wingless trunk, but havent found one
I would need to get any wingless trunk and paint it $$

This would eliminate fixing the trunk and reduce drag at high speeds for little $

However, I'd at least claim it on insurance. The OEM carbon wing is very expensive.

It certainly would be a lot less likely to break at high speeds. I just wonder about the down force characteristics.

Good lucking getting them to cover a 120+ MPH claim.

I gotta agree with Mondoh on this one. Looks like a something that belongs on a Civic.

I highly recommend this product. I've had it on my MR for probably 2 years now. I personally like the look and it helps your rear visibility substantially. I bought the painted one and it looks really good on the black, but I don't like the carbon look.

I'm sure this hinders the downforce in the back. From the wind tunnel test data I saw a few years ago, no laminar airflow makes it down that far. But it will never break from high speed forces.

(I feel like we have had this conversation before. Oh wait, we had it when your other wing broke.)

Here is a current pic of mine
