...again??
3 tickets now? that easily = track pads, a couple oil changes, motul brake fluid, 4 or 5 tanks of gas, and 6 track sessions.......at least. but driving like a madman everywhere is more important right?
ya know, you really dont save much time nor shorten the trip time by speeding. in fact you cause more stress on yourself and your car, plus the possiblity of a slow car cutting you off and causing an accident.
i find my trips much less stressful when just merging into traffic and going with it. i dont have tickets to worry about, and i get better gas mileage than the latter. i haven't had a ticket in a long time.
last year, i added and saved all the money from an average year of tickets(1-2 per month), this paid for the wearables and gas to track my car every 2-4 weeks for 6 months.(yes tracking a miata is cheaper, but still beats an attorneys office, the courthouse, and/or def driving classes to keep tickets off my record)
i'd just do the math, leave on time, dont speed, no stress of driving crazy = $0
speed, cut people off, drive like a tard, get tickets = $=<$200 month
track time with just me and my car
plus you can stop *****ing about your tickets on evo m, and instead put up cool pictures and/or video of you on the track! but.... speeding tickets are fun too, i guess.

For someone who claims to be less stressed, you're really showing the exact opposite here.
i care not of your troubles nor will i worry about them, im just bored and the forum was here, with another "i got a ticket thread" i couldnt resist.....its your money
lol, hopefully that advice i wrote up there gets as far under your skin as the bickering, or harassment, whatever you thought it was.

And you're right, it is my money. And since I'm bored as well and just waiting on my laundry to finish, I'll go ahead and shoot some holes in your previous post:
This part assumes I'm driving like a madman. I've already said numerous times I don't. Contrary to what you might think it *is* possible to go faster than the posted limit and still be operating a car in a "reasonable and prudent" manner. I'm not the type to dodge in and out of traffic everywhere I go. I don't tailgate and I don't cut people off. In fact, now that I've gotten this car, I've found that I drive 10 times more safely than I used to. And that's saying something. I love this car more than any I've owned previously. It represents a long road of saving money to get a car I wanted and one that I could really enjoy. I'm certainly not going to risk that driving like a "madman."
You know, your whole "go with the flow" bit is actually as dangerous or more so than driving "a little fast." If you're in the pack of cars when one has a problem....where do you go? My bet would be straight into the car in front of you.....if not into one of the ones to your left or right.
Oh and by the way -- "going with the flow" is usually speeding, since so many people drive "a little fast." So you might want to consider that before making such a lengthy post condemning the act.
It didn't, largely because as I pointed out it was all based on incorrect assumptions.

Im with Bullett on this one Chad, He was just laughing at himself.
But just for arguement sake, let say every where you went, you drove 15 miles per hour over the limit. Your fuel mileage would not go down drastically, hell it might even go up or stay flat. Its rapid acceleration, braking, cornering that really beats the crap out of a car.
I must admit I speed myself generally 5 to 10 over, eg 45 in 35 zones, 50 in 40 zones. Almost everyone does. I dont weave in and out or risk lives. People that text, put makeup on, read, smoke, or eat cause more accidents in Texas than speeders.
Tracking an Evo in the HOT summer blacktop I'll guarantee is way way harder on the car than speeding a few miles over the limit.

And geez guys, venting/making fun turned into a politics thread lol. Its for ****s and giggles cmon...
It's a good thing, too, because I laugh at myself constantly.
See, the irony of it all is that I fully expected my ticket-risk to increase when going from a Nissan Altima sedan to a Ralliart, especially when I started havin' the guys at COBB work their magic. I expected more tickets. Hell I practically budgeted for them. I just didn't know how right I was.
The whole time I had the Altima, I was pulled over twice. Once with a warning and once with a ticket. Then, in the span of about 4 months, I blow that total out of the water completely.
The problem is three-fold, and of course it all comes back to me...and I know it does. 1) I'm naturally a little lead-footed. 2) I'm not used to having so much power at my disposal, and 3) My music preference simply compounds 1 and 2.
Ever notice how faster, more hard rock-type music makes you just want to go fast? That's basically what's goin' on with me. But that's hardly a problem in a car like my Altima that shook like crazy if I broke 70 MPH. It's equally a non-issue when you're driving a 140 HP Honda Civic.
However, when you drive a car that's got roughly 310 lbs of torque....and you've never owned a car anywhere near that powerful......it can be a problem.
So the answer is simple really. And I've already proven it during the last couple of trips. When I listen to my faster music, I go faster...whether I "mean to" or not. When I'm listening to more of a slow, chill song or the radio show I like so much, I just....cruise.
So, all I have to do is opt for one playlist over the other. Problem solved. Well...mostly. I mean what *would* the roads be like without the legendary (in my own mind) Bandit?

Ah you got the "Im in a fast car" syndrome. I had that too for the first few months of owning my car, but then I thought about all the money I could save for not having to pay lawyers to fix my tickets and use on mods or personal things. I drive fast on the track, but slow on the streets.
Its cool to watch a car go fast down the track, but its embarrassing to go fast down the street just cause you can only to get pulled over in front of a bunch of other cars.

But hmmm....."I'm in a fast car" syndrome.....is that anything like "I'm on a boat" syndrome?

or is it more like "Boats 'N Hoes" syndrome?

Doesn't work... well atleast in my similar case it didn't. I was on 75 coming back from st louis, mo and this legacy pulled up next to me me to race. I was in an eclipse gs at the time and I was very ignorant about cars at the time so I thought winning was in the bag for me. Well needless to say no matter how many times he won, he drops back and I got pulled over. I told him the lagacy wouldn't leave me alone and keep following me, he said I should have just pulled over regardless it being 2am at night. So I got a ticket instead
I have done this one on two occasions. Call 911.. say this: There is a psycho, driving a all black car/suv, with a RADIO SHACK light, waving what appears to be a GUN... Then your covered.
Naah it's cool. I firmly believe in the saying "If we can't laugh at ourselves, who can we laugh at?"

I agree. You gotta be able to make fun of yourself before you do it to others. It's quite the relaxing thing to do. Oh and music that pumps you up is not a good in an evo lol. I do listen to two steps from hell from time to time just to get that epic feeling and then I dont even hear the music unless its extremely loud due to my damn dump o2 dp haha. Ive only gotten 1 ticket my entire life. I was pissed off at the ex and I did 75 on a 30 at least the cop gave me a city ticket which was 900 bucks but hell a better than getting my license revoked.
