What I have tried so far, my current burn rate has been 2-3 sets per year, DD and autocrossing on them.

Stock Advan's - Bad stock alignment, never got to do anything with them. Belted at 5k miles.
Nitto NT05 - Terrible grip and tread life. Heat cycled way to quickly. I won't run these again.
Star Spec Z1 - Very nice tread life, great grip, however loud at highway speeds (they sound like a bad t-case). Despite that, they have been my favorite tire so far.
R-S3 - Comparable tread life to the Z1's, great heat profile, quieter, grips a bit better than Z1's when hot.

It was a hard sell to get me off of the Z1's, they are such a well rounded performance tire. My ONLY complaints about them would be their tendency to get greasy when hot lapping, nothing a water bottle doesn't fix...I haven't had this problem with the R-S3's and the highway noise.

dulop SP Maxx tires are pretty awesome in my opinion. Also, I am looking into putting on the Conti DSW's for my everyday driving habits, which are just go back and forth to school.

I've had the DZ101's on and they aren't all that great for hard cornering. IMO.

p.s. Discount Tire has a factory in Shreveport and they ship next day so check out the tires and its usually a lot cheaper than Tire Rack. From my past experience.

Just some helpful facts for those interested.

Sumitomo's are $217 at NTB for 265x34x18 and $178 on Tire rack.

Their performance tires are all made in Japan and they have a long history of partnership with Dunlop who they aquired, and Goodyear, developing tires jointly.

They are great daily driver tires and I like them alot so far. Pretty grippy for 300 tread wear.

Well thats about it.
