Need some tire suggestions!

I ordered some XXR 527's in 18x9.75 +20mm and need some road going tires to match.

Just high tread count, daily drivers as I'm using my stock wheels and tires for AutoX and grip isn't the most pressing matter. I need something that will last LONGER than the 5k I got off the stock tires.
I'm leaning towards the Nitto NT555's as it seems most of the C4 and Roush crowd love them and the cheap price.
Any better tires I should look into before I buy?

I'm partial to Falken, myself. I had the older version of the RT-615's on my IX, and they lasted about 10k as DD tires...with occasional trips to the track. They are more performance tires, though, so I don't know if that's what you're looking for.

Personally, I like and have used and abused the Dunlop Z1 Star Specs and the Hankook RS3s. Both perform great on the street and are very competitive on the track. I think the Star Specs are better in the rain, but the RS3s are much cheaper.

If you want great handling, not cheap, medium life get Hankook RS3 or Dunlop StarSpec or Yokohama AD08.

If you want cheap, long life, and aren't worried about performance so much then go on tire rack, put the in the size tire you want, sort starting with lowest price first, then buy the first summer tire with a treadwear over 400.

That's what I did. Got some closeout Goodyears for like $88 a piece.

As soon as I burn through my Advans I'll be buying some RS3's for sure. Those will be strictly for the NTAX events so they wouldn't ever see rain.

I was looking for something with a higher tread rating for DD service. I'll check and see what Falken is slinging for their street duty stuff. I would still like to stick to the road as much as possible

555's are ****TY tires. Don't waste your money on them.

Get something like the Evo V12, Sumitomo HTRZIII or something along that lines for around town.

I'm looking into the Bridgestone Potenza RE760 myself.

I've ran 3 sets of BFGoodrich KDW II's on my 350z, and just bought a set for the same wheels that you bought. I can easily get 30,000 miles out of them, and they have AWESOME wet and dry traction. 300 tread count. I got mine off TireRack for ~$700.

Two votes for Sumitomo's . I saw them on tire rack but had never heard of them.
I also liked the Potenza's and I'll check out the KDW's as well. It seems like for every good review on tire rack or discount tire there's another guy saying the opposite!
Any thought on General or Continentals?
They have really high thread wear but I don't want Cadillac Deville tires.

Another vote for the hankook ventus evo v12's.

Excellent rain tire. Excellent grip, just a notch below the extreme summer tires, RS3's, Dunlops, Yok's etc. And super cheap!

I was never impressed with the Sumitomo's. I honestly think the V12's are one of the best all around tires ever built as far as dry grip, rain traction, comfort, longevity and price. And i've had a LOT of tires over the years lol

Hey man, I had the Continental DW's, and they were affordable and lasted forever. I even autocrossed them last season and put like 15k on them and there's still like 60-70% tread. No lie.

My fiance has the Bridgestone Potenza 760's on her Cooper S, and they are a great daily tire that's somewhat sticky. They've got around 17k and have plenty of life left (and Mini's run lots of negative camber and toe).

Despite all this, the Hankook Evo V12's were on my s2000 and were REALLY cheap. I only put 5k on them before selling the car, but they were great. Plus they have overwhelmingly great reviews.

That's 3 great tires for your purpose - I'd go with whichever is cheapest.

I've had good experiences with the ~5 sets of Sumitomo tires I've owned throughout the years. I had the HTR Z III on my IX and am thinking about getting them for my X. I currently have the Hankook Ventus V12 Evo on the X and they've lasted for ~25k miles, but now I'm due for another set. I'd be more tempted to get them again, but they just had a huge price increase. Right now I'm mainly deciding between three:

-Hankook Ventus V12 Evo
-Sumitomo HTR Z III
-Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport

I had the RE750's on my S2000 and they were nice daily-driver performance tires; the 760's are their asymetrical (vs. directional) replacement.

Looks like I'm deciding between the same 3. I'm a big fan of always sticking with what works. Been eating the same chipotle burrito for 4 yrs : )

Ok I'll price the Hankook and Sumitomo's and see what comes out cheaper
