New Car :)
Thanks to all the awesome guys at Don Herring in Irving I am now the proud owner of a Apex Silver 2003 Evo VIII. The plan is to get my NASA TT licence next year and run in either TTC or TTB and eventually build it to similar specs as Todd's race car.
I always wanted a 8 since they first came out so it's pretty cool to finally own one nine years later. I decided to sell the X to be more competitive in road racing and to have cheaper car payment/maintenance as my family grows. Racing isn't cheap and racing in the X is definitely not cheap
With the help of Kevin and all the guys at EvoD this will be a great race car.
So the X will be missed. The 2.2L/FP Green set up that EvoD put together was amazing and I know whoever the lucky owner is will enjoy it. I guess now I need a IX to own all Evos released in the US. I do really like the new blue that is coming on the X in 2013 though. That may be my next purchase. After a truck and trailer to haul the race car that is

He's doing NASA, so an aftermarket front LSD will most likely hurt him, points wise (unless he goes with an 05/06 setup...maybe Todd and Kevin can chime in about using OEM upgrades and their point penalties).
Justin, I'm very happy for you! You'll come to love the cheap, raw feel of the CT9A. I hope you'll be at many more AutoX (NTAXS on the 20th, hint hint) in the future.
Congrats!

Sounds like same car. Fixed temp gauge the night I bought it and BOV was installed upside down. Flipped it around and it runs like a dream now!! Few little things to do but other than that it's great.
I know the 400 Treadwear feeling lol. Yea I test drove it and was like where is the beef? Who ever put it back to stock did a ****ty job. If you dont mind me asking what did you end up giving for it?
i don't think anyone tried to put it back to stock. i think thats how it was cause it still has aftermarket parts on it. the only thing i can assume someone did was put the stock BCS back in with the wrong wastegate vacuum hoses cause it was stuck on wastegate pressure. thats one of the reasons it felt so slow (10psi).

... DH makes it easy thats for sure.
