Why bother with 95 Octane when you can get E85?

He was posting because its pretty cool a Shell station sells 95 as its premium...if only all Shell stations did! E85 has its advantages, but with every advantage comes a drawback; plenty of people around still run pump gas.

I guess I can see it that way. When I was on vacation in Thailand, all gas stations advertise 95 octane as their premium, but who really knows if its really 95 at all? (as a consumer in Asia, I don't believe everything I see)

Asia gas quality is inferior unless its Japanese. Our 93 is very good gas. The British have better available it's similar to 97 here if you can find it. E85 here is Texas is crap, Kracka can attest. It makes good power but not safe to run all the time. You should always run some strong pump 93 thru every 4 tanks or use a good fuel injector cleaner.

Yep call them today and sure enough vpower in that gas station is 95oct. I guess im getting another tune with 95 oct. wonder how much ill get with 95 oct compared with my 93 oct, currently running on e85. 93 oct was 396awhp/351awtq. the gas station is near my job as well so thats a plus.

Power gains from 91 to 93 seem to be in the range of ~20whp, but I'm not sure if the 2 point jump would translate into the same going from 93 to 95...
