Rush vs NTEC
We'll be at MSR all day Saturday, the 28th so.
how about winding down in a cool theater
watching how it looks from behing the camera?
RUSH- Ron Howard's new F1 film about 1970s Formula 1 rivals James Hunt and Niki Lauda
http://www.formula1.com/teams_and_dr...l_of_fame/221/
SUNDAY
Sept. 29, 2013 (the initial release date was pushed back from the 20th)
1sh brunch
3ish RUSH
(i need to talk to the theater event manager, so details to follow)
Speaking of F1...
check out the F1 of sailing...http://www.americascup.com/en/about/boats
the 162 year old, and 34th sailing for the AMERICA'S CUP
much of the same F1 carbon fiber and aerodynamic technology applied onto the water..
the $10 Million boat of carbon fiber and kevlar on foils the size of two surfboards going
smoothly over waves at 50mph (the umpires, used only for this kind of action, are pounding their teeth out on powerboats, trying to keep up with the action!)
An Olympic champion died in an accident this summer, when one pontoon submerged, stopping the boat so suddenly, the boat cartwheeled, catapulting the crew up and over the boat. One guy didn't surface and drowned. There's a similar scene in the link above.
I've raced with and against two of the announcers and many of the guys racing today for the cup-
so i'm understandably about to jump out of my skin in excitement for them!!
Unfortunately, they are down several points and got caughtgot caught cheating earlier in the competition (i didn't know them!!)

the action continues this Tuesday at 2:30pm central time
you can watch it live on this link:

I'm looking for the largest screen in the area, but it doesn't show on many schedules yet.
It was postponed a week and is to be released the 27th.
2nd
I was also looking for a theater that serves food

That theater in the Grapevine mall worked well for us when NTEC went to see Haywire. We had dinner at Chili's then walked to the theater, got some beers at their bar, then watched the movie.
If you're looking for something more upscale w/restaurant then the new LOOK Cinema in Addison off Beltline is pretty nice...but priced accordingly. I'm also hearing very good things about Alamo Drafthouse in Richardson (beer, real food, reasonable prices, etc.).

Thanks, Kracka.
I called the LOOK cinema off of Beltline and they said last week that they would have RUSH, but it wasn't on their website yet, so I didn't post it.
I'm overwhelmed at work and will have to work Sunday, after our Saturday MSR day,
so if anyone else can take over and plan this, I'd appreciate it.
I'll see it in the weeks to come.
Hopefully everyone is waiting to sign up once the time and location has been posted?

I can take over planning if you'd like, but it may be a week or two out since weekends right now are already very busy. We could make this the 3rd Tuesday event (10/15) actually if people would like! We could do dinner then a later showing. I would like to check out the new Richardson Alamo Drafthouse...we could arrive early and eat at the theater to check out their various choices.
They have a pretty extensive food menu, plus beer, wine, cocktails, etc.
