Moving from NC to Dallas area

Hello Evo owners,
I am getting out of the military and moving to the Dallas area I have no family there but I will be going to college UT Dallas I have a wife and a 9 month old son. Anyone know of a good place to look for houses? we are looking for a 3+ bedroom and would like to have some community services like a pool or gym. so where to live? where to get work done to the evo? where do I not want to live?

Richardson is where I work and is where UTD is. Housing between Preston rd and i75. South of i90 and north of Arapaho should meet your needs. Might have to look for a house with a pool though unless you want to live way out in the new developments of Frisco or McKinney. Community amenities are not very prevalent unless you get in somewhere developed in the last 10 years. Evo dynamics in lewisville is great. Cobb in Plano is good.

Don't want to live in mesquite or anywhere that main access is off of 635. That road is under major construction and far East is tough it get to.

I'm not afraid to drive a little bit like 30 min so we were thinking over by Rockwall or McKinney or anywhere north of Carrollton Richardson area but thanks for the heads up about the construction!

Welcome to the area in advance, you'll love it! I moved down here back in 2009 from Minnesota.

well guys I have been in the area for about a week and some change we got a house in Melissa, yea kinda far out of Dallas but we like it and its only about 4 min down 75 to McKinney so its not so bad. I haven't seen any evos out on the streets the few times I have been driving around the area but a lot of Subarus and I also seen 2 different lambos on different occasions that is totally different than what I'm used to.
