Hey there all! Had a fun time at the meet. It was nice to meet everybody. Even the wife wasnt' bored. Some pretty sweet evo's you all have. Well thanks again.

Okay guys, today's question... Those of you running the stock boost solenoid... I have to get to the dealer pretty soon for inspection, so I took off my MBC. Installed all the original restrictor-pilled hoses. I am boosting to about 19-20 right where I thought it should be. But today pulling out of my work parking lot, In 1st or 2nd I got stuck at 15-16 psi max. Is our boost limited on cold starts? I boosted the $hit out of the car the rest of the way home and it did the normal 19-20 tappering. Also, on occation it looked like I was hitting and holding 19 till redline. Is this possible? Is the solenoid f'd up? I know I installed everything correctly as I have switched back and forth 4 times now. (If anyone needs help with their MBC, I'll help them install it) I know one thing, as soon as I get home thursday from the dealer, the Hallman is going right back on. Now at least I know why I bought it. Thanks.

Oh and if MMCA reads this, I don't actually mod my car... I just want to fit in with the group of people that do mod, so I act like I do...

 

Yeah I think I found that before warm up you are limited to boost... I guess my cars normal, I just don't remember the boost being that f'd up before the mbc... Oh well...

And Dan, if you need a cusco heat shield, I'm about to sell one... I think you said you wanted one if I remember. On my car for like 2,000 miles or less. A few minor nicks in it. I think it will fit with your egt probe, but I'm not sure. PM if you're interested. I'm not asking for much.

Hey guys some local pride for you. One of our locals just took best in show at the carlisle (pardon the spelling) car show. And yes this evo WILL be at the next meet thats confirmed. So pick a date for the next meet guys. And lets get modding for heavens sake, we need more discussion.

Steve, more discussion huh? Bad idea telling me that, lol. Well anyhow, what's going on with sunday? Are we getting something together for beaver run? As far as the next meet, it should be the 18th or 25th of June. While it's nice out I say meet once a month to make up for no meets in the winter. What does everyone else think?

 

June 25 is no good for me, I'll be in Washington for HIN. Is anybody down with doing a meet on a Sunday? I work most Saturday afternoons\nights from 3 till 9 or 10 pm, I would love to come meet all you guys!

 

well sunday is the first open autox at beaver run... maybe we all can meet up in the morning drive up and some can autox some can spectate up to you guys really. Glenn, when do you wanna go up on sunday?

 

where exactly is Beaver Run? Is it actually near Beaver Run Reservoir? Or am I totally off?

 

Its about 3 miles north of the pa turnpike exit for beaver. I think thats Rt 18. If your near the turnpike thats the easiest.
