im trying to use this site as leverage to get us use of the lot, or special entrance to the BBQ.

I didnt want to get anyone's hopes up so i kinda kept it secret, because they were supposed to get back to me by today and they didnt.

Just dont let the other cat out of the bag dewey... got something great to tell the world if Schaller lets us have our shindig at their pad

 

Would meeting at a dealer be a good idea?

OK! I'm confused! We are still meeting at Ruby Tuesday's correct. We should stick to the origonal plan so that no one gets confused on where we are going to meet. And once all 27 cars are there we can decide whether we are going to go to the dealership for a while!

 

well see the thing is, we cant hang out at Ruby Tuesdays. Its on the pike. We will all get tickets. So..... after we eat..... i was looking for somewhere for us to cruise to and hang out that will sanction us.

Here is the dilly:

Shaller Mitsubishi is very nearby to the pike. They are AWESOME. They are having this BBQ for mitsu owners on April 12th, it was like, coincidence from heaven. The thing is, they want to help us out. Problem: They want to do it on a friday. Im trying to negotiate combining it w/ the BBQ. We will see how it goes, im presenting a formal proposal to the owner of the dealership tomorrow.

I'll keep you guys posted on the goings on.

Also: they wanted a better estimate of how mayn people are going to be there. Im just going to say 30 cars to be safe, maybe around 50 people considering those who might bring friends. As far as i know, 1 or 2 evo owners will be attending. This would be much appreciated, the dealership is very excited to meet you evo owners!

There are two issues going on here:

1- Are we doing something illegal by meeting at a parking lot in CT?

2- Why would get tickets?

3- Where are we going to meet, if Ruby's is no go!?

Well, I guess I'll find out what's going on one way or another. I take it there's no group rate thing going on for the hotel so I'm gonna just call and reserve a room at Foxwoods tonight or something.

I dunno who else is gonna be going for sure, but just lemme know and we can lose all our money together.

BTW, talked my girlfriend into coming.

 

No, because we're not going to be loitering too long. We're gonna meet there, talk a bit, have some dinner, then head elsewhere like a park (or maybe a dealership) for the rest of the meet.

We'd get tickets for loitering, but that won't really happen because we'll be going to Ruby Tuesday's for a meal and this parking lot is huge. No one's gonna be complaining about us taking up space, so long as no one's being a disturbance or doing anything stupid. Even if someone did complain, the cops wouldn't want to write out tickets for everyone - they'd probably just ask us to leave.

We're just meeting there for lunch, we'll go to a park or a dealership to hang out, I'm figuring.
