First NOLC meet was a success!

First NOLC meet went better then most folks thought. There were like eight of us Lancer/Evo guys there, and roughly 20 Suburu guys from LERSOC! We pretty much filled Quaker Steak and Lube's entire roadside parking lot lane with our rides. I want to thank everyone for coming out on such a lousy, chilly, rainy day. It was nice to finally meet you guys in person instead of here on Evom, or AIM.
We will keep in touch in reference to our next club meet date. Doug has hinted that he would like to get together within a week or so after he gets back from Delaware. Sorry he couldn't make this meet as most of you know that he had a death in the family.
So plan on meeting again somewhere in the next two weeks, unless something changes. Once again thanks for showing up.
If anyone took some decent pics while at the meet, please post them. I will see how mine are and determine whether or not they are good enough to post.

I worked on my car for 2 days straight, so I didn't make the rainy meet on saturday Any chances that the "Next" meet could be at the Quaker in Avon/Sheffield? I always hate driving to Valleyview, seeing as the last meet was there. IMO it needs to be on the "Westside" for a change. Maybe Dave and Buster's in Westlake would be a good meeting place. Last summer we had 2 occassions where we met there, and it seemed that most people enjoyed themselves. Let us know!

I'd say the meet was pretty cool, except for the rain. Lots of people showed up. As far as the next meet goes, I'm down for a westside location, however we have to keep in mind that there's a few people coming all the way from Mentor or other east side locations. Dave and Buster's would be cool, except I won't be able to get in (from what I remember it's 21+ ) Either way, I think we should have a poll as to the location of the next meet. I'm waiting for the pics of today's meet

hey guys, i'm glad you guys enjoyed the meet, they are much better when we can go cruise and the weather is nicer too. i have some pictures that i'll post up tomorrow as its late and im now tired. you guys probably didn't hear but bnhrvat (blue evo) was having some major boost issues after having a hallman manual boost controller installed by a brainless dumbass. Mike (latesleeper, red evo) and bnhrvat come back to my house in mentor and we tore the airbox and stuff off and fixed the problem. it went really well and i'm happy that his car is now driving very strong and much safer than it was. needless to say, it's been a long night. tomorrow i'll be modding my car, and probably monday and tuesday i'll be modding as well. at any rate, i'll post up some pictures here, and on lersoc tomorrow when i can keep my eyes open.

Alexandru:I was refering to the imprompt meeting Doug was suggested in having, to be on the westside. We have quite a few members on the westside of Cleveland and even Toledo. Having a change of scenery is nice, plus the driving distance evens out. I really don't like driving 2 hours total, everytime there is a meet.

2 hours? Man I can drive from Elyria to Valley View where we were last night in 45 minutes.

The problem with that is I have not really seen anyone other than you farther west than Alexandru and I that are interested in a Lancer club. I would suppose that if others that are in your area and farther west would show more of an interest in the club by posting here on the forums, that having a club meet closer to the "half-way mark" would be more appropriate. As it stands now you are the only one I have seen post in here that is farther west then I am.

Even if you're under 21, you'll be accompanied by "adults" like us.

Dave and Busters would be good for a change. Quaker is getting a little old and I think I'm growing tired of the food there.

I don't think that you read my post correctly, I said 2 hours there and back "total"
From where I am located in Elyria, it takes 15 minutes to reach 480, then atleast 45 minutes to get to Valleyview. Total = 2 hours
1 hour there, 1 hour back

Is Evom going to be the choice of forum, and not Lersoc?

Dave and Busters will be good for a change. If my memory is accurate, the only time we met there was before Hot Import Nights.

From my location (Cleveland Heights), going to D & B is just about as far as Valley View. I can go to one or the other, and I certain perfer these two venues over Boneyard!

We met there for the Empire Audio show in August I believe, or maybe it was at the end of July.

To answer a few questions:

1. D&B sounds like it's winning. Friday night?
2. Let's not get into a debate about location. Hell, I don't really think any of us live near Valley View anyhow.
3. EvoM will be the forum of choice. LERSOC is nice, but there's no need for a Lancer club to operate on a Subaru board. If things take off, we may start our own board down the road. But I'm wary of that - last time a Lancer club started it's own board, 95% of the members just ignored it and used EvoM.
4. I'm glad things went well. You guys were in my thoughts.
