Thumbs up Dyno'd @ ESP in Sterling, MA

Hey all, I went to ESP in sterling, ma last weekend to put the MR on their mustang dyno. This was my first experience using a dyno, but I must say, the guys there were great! Dave (one of the owners) spent the better part of 4 hours installing, baselining and dialing in my forge MBC until it was perfect. Apparently the two springs with the kit are good for about 19-20psi spike tapering to 18 or 25psi spike and we shut down. So it took awhile and even some creative modding of the mbc to get it set to 22psi tapering off from there.

My car ultimately put down 282whp 292trq on the mustang on 93. I do not have a piggyback setup yet, so I was using buschur's flash which has my afr's well below 11:1 for most of the in-boost powerband....needless to say there is much more in the combo.

But, again, I was very very pleased with their service and their shop. Great guys to deal with, and extremely fair priced. Look them up if your in the northeast area and are interested in a mustang dyno, they also have a tuner for aem setups as well!

yeah, the owner has a vr-4 and a few were in the lot. they also had quite a few MR2's around, and some really sick old muscle - even a hybrid ls1 miata! It's great to see a local shop with diverse experience like that.

Those are some good numbers. I remember the car put down 275HP/300 ft. lbs torque when I had it on a Mustang Dyno, so it's in the ballpark.

I can only imagine what that MR will do once you get a custom tune on it.

I would guess around 300HP/300+ ft. lbs.

BTW, how do you like the FORGE MBC?

I actually bought the car with the exedy installed already, so I don't have any before and after information. The install was done by Speedlabs in MN, and they seem to have known their stuff! I have zero complaints with it. There is slight chatter on take-off from a stoplight for example, but nothing you can't get used to after a few tries, and it's just a reminder that you're not driving a civic . I haven't had it to the track yet, but it shifts perfect at high rpms and isn't too hard on the left leg either.
