Window tints and NJ

I've been seeing a lot of evo's with tint on all of there windows(except front windshield of course). I'm so tempted to get my DS and PS windows tinted cuz it looks so much better. Have you Jersey guys ever been pulled over for tints?

Hey wassup man, I live in piscataway. I have a friend who has an srt-4 and he got pulled over for tints.

I really like the way tints look, and I want to get a real light tint for mine, but why give the cops an excuse to pull you over?

Especially if you have any mods and you can be driving perfectly normal, they have an excuse to pull you over and then they can start looking for other crap to cite you on.

I was thinking of putting 50% all around on mine... Do you think I'll get pulled over for that?

hey 03silvaevo u dont happen to live by the train station do u? ive seen a silver 8 down the street from there.

anyway depends on what town u drive through. highland park will pull u over. i go through there with my loud *** exhuast and knock on wood so far so good.

i wouldnt do more than 35%. as for inspection u wont pass if the front ones are tinted.

i have 30% on my black VIII and i had 20% on my IX MR beore i sold it. i nevere get hassled in the VIII for it i think its a perfect amount of tint not to crazy but looks damn good and as fo my IX MR i had 20% put on (because that is what i thought my VIII had) and it came out DARK i on ly got pulled over once and got lucky i told him my situation how i didn't want it this dark and that i had planed on pulling it off. and he let me off with a warning. so i would do it but don't go to crazy and keep an eye peeled for cops and roll the windows down just in case. goodluck!

ive gotten pulled over 5 times for tints. always got warnings. is not a big issue up where i live. i only get pulled over when i go down south by sayerville and old bridge (thats where my cousin lives).

i use to have 35% front 15% in the back and i still go pulled over. a couple months later i took off the front and drove around with a half *** tint job but i got it retinted 20% front and still 15% in the back. i went darker b/c if their going to pull me over might as well have dark tints. tons of cars get away with having light tints (35%).. as long as your car is non-yellow you'll be fine
