Slightly OT, but did one of you guys go to Crossgates today, around 6:30 pm? Saw a GG IX MR in the parking lot outside Best Buy. Wondering if it was anyone on this board.

About the performance shop, we actually do have one that's quite close. It's called Knight Time Autoworks and it's in Argyle, NY. Peter Knight (the owner) is renowned across the US for his custom paint and fabrication work. They hand build bikes, hot rods, and several other things. Their main mechanic is Adam Hennessy (his sister is the professional F1 woman's cup driver, Amanda Hennessy) who is a GmbH and also works on EVERYTHING DSM. Remarkable place nestled out in the country a bit by the local Argyle Airport out past their high school. If you ever need mods installed Adam is your man! He installed the Revolver Drivetrain in my 8 as well as my manifold+turboback and all the other mods I had on the 8. When I decide to mod the 9 he will def be the one I go to, then I'll talk to Al for a tune Cheers

 

Great! Thanks for the info on the shop in Argyle. That's right around the corner, and I never would have thought there would be anything out there except farms (guys at work bust on Argyle all the time).

 

Yup thats the one, he traded his M3 in on the GG MR. We would definitly come up for a meet, also another friend with a black VIII that I am sure we could drag along.

 

Yup. I am the one who picked up the MR. The car only had 30 miles on it when I got it. I think you are thinking about the SE they had, it had 100+miles on it. Anyways, I would definitely be down for a meet

 

Yeah Argyle is a little rural, but that's why they selected the area from what I understand. Sometimes its good to not have everyone strolling through and walking around every day I'm working on something for us all to meet up at a restaurant in Albany on the 1st Sun in Dec. if that will work for everyone. Close friend of mine was a manager for this company for a long time and now she works for the state but bartends for them on the weekend to help out so I'm seeing if she can get us a private area in the restaurant to all get together and hang out and not worry about bothering anyone. If that date works for everyone let me know and I'll continue to persue it.

 

Bump to see if anyone else is interested...trying to get a # for my friend at the location to see how much space we're going to need to comsume for the EVO drivers

 

Ahh, damn. I am gonna be out of town on the 3rd. Gotta drive down to PA. The following Sunday would be perfect though. If that doesn't work with anyone else, then I can just catch the next one.

I dunno if it was you.. I've seen your website, and it looked like this car had rims on it.. Or maybe you only have your stock wheels on for track? But anyways, yeah I always try to wave or honk at other Evo owners.. Though one dude in an RR completely ignored me and turned off into Latham Circle or something, hehehe.
