Out of state tint ticket in NY
that is correct. with regard to the front windows, i believe most cars come from the factory with the maximum allowable tint believe it or not, thus any additional tint is illegal.
As for driving a car in a different state with different rules, I do not think you will have to pay a ticket for that. Those STATE laws are to REGISTER cars in THAT state. If you live in another state and travel through, your car doesn't suddenly become subject to their regulations. Like he said on first page, in MA you cannot have anything other than a stock exhaust. Clearly, this is NOT the law everywhere else in the US. Does this mean your car cannot enter the state of MA with an exhaust? No. It's BS and cops being cops, and even being nice enough to tell you to check off guilty

That officer CANNOT write you a ticket for tinted windows when your car is not registered in NY.
Contest that ticket.
