Both the Evo and the STi should be in BSP, not ESP.

Nice pics!

I'm not sure why?....according to this: http://www.moutons.org/sccasolo/Lists/2006/stprepc.html

They are listed under ESP...

Please elaborate on why they belong in BSP...

Thank You!

The link you provided is an unofficial listing of car categories. ESP was the classing in 05 for the Evo and STi. 06+ was BSP.

http://www.scca.org/_FileLibrary/File/2007SoloRules.pdf

Check out page 183 of the 07 rule book. For the Evo and STi, the order goes:

AS>STU>BSP>SM

Much appreciated!...I just downloaded the rules!

The guy in the STI is my bro and I have the Silver Evo. Looks like we will be changing classes next time.

Again, thank you so much for the help.

If you don't mid me asking...what are the big mods that would put one in SM versus BSP???

No problem. BSP to SM...hmm, not sure. I'm in STU, so I tend to focus on STU-only rule sets. SM is pretty radical in what you can do compared to even BSP. I think in SM you can do engine internals (re: cams and valvetrain components). Look up in the rules and see where you want to net out. If autoX is a casual fun thing then play in any class you want to based on your mods. If you want to be competitive mod to the rules. STU is expensive enough, and it gets more and more expensive as you go up..BSP-->SM

Thanks for the pictures. I am really in STU (Gray Evo #65) but liked to run in the morning and afternoon, so I registered ESP according to the class info on the SCCA website and NC in the afternoon. My buddy in the #99 RX8 tripped the finsih timing light shortly after your picture was taken that cause a bunch of re-runs...... Thanks again for the pictures.
