if you guys see any clean used evo's at a dealer for around 25k let me know. if i dont sell my Lightning outright im gonna look to trade it in. i prefer black or silver. and preferably an 05 or newer. and under 30k for miles as well. thanks

I found that the best way to go about it is find a private sale that is marked down and have the dealer buy it and flip it to you. the problem with buying an evo of all cars at a dealer with miles on it, is that they have usually been "broken in" really well. If you find one private then you have a better chance of knowing the history.

 

i got mine from Brand Benson in NJ..They were pretty good and have so many used Evos and Sti's

 

Brad Benson had a the best selection I had seen, but the salesmen were disrespectful, and therefore they didn't get my business. I saw a used one here in Williamstown NJ at a small used car lot. Ill try to stop and check it out.

 

DeNooyer Mitsubishi on Central Ave in Albany currently has a 2005 VIII GSR in Blue. Haven't stopped to look at it so I can't comment on condition.

thanks everyone. i am hesitant about buying used, but i do have my mind set on an evo. im hoping to find one that is solid, and not beaten badly. colors of choice are black, silver, gg, then white.. not really looking for red or blue. and i wouldnt mind wingless either, but not looking for an rs.

fast03evo, im gonna send you a pm, although the miles are a little higher than i would like.. i commute 30k a year myself and with miles already at 45k id be at 100 in a year and a half with 3.5 more still to pay on it.

 

i just check the brad benson website and he is asking crazy prices.. 29grand for a used 05? he must be smoking something. i could buy brand new for 30... but not looking to spend that much as im trying to save for a house at the same time.

 

id also be up for a trade with anyone in the tristate area as well.

 

I got mine from Brad Benson... it needed some work but they were good about taking care of everything. Just be sure to make a list of things to fix prior to purchase. Also, those internet prices are a joke... you can EASILY get them to drop thousands off of the price.

 

wait am i hearing people claiming brad benson is good? are you employees of brad benson coming for advertisement? EVERY person i've spoken to who bought cars there hates that place, including me(my first evo)!!!! unfortunately for the service department (which isnt half bad), the sales side really brings down everyone. avoid brad benson at all cost, trust me. if you want to be treated right, PM me and ill refer you to a dealer that is closer to you AND the guy will hook you up as long as you know what you want, your serious about buying and dont waste his time.

no im not advertising a specific dealer, cuz there's crooks even at the best dealers out there.... i just have a bud who is good there.
