Looking for the owner of the black evo 9 with the gt30r, meth, cams, FMIC, AEM EMS etc. that i met up at NE Dragway saturday morning.

Just wondering if you tried staying in 4th gear for your last pass and what you ran. I realized that we wouldnt be able to line up because you really had to get going.

I ran my car one more time after you left and netted a 12.1 at 117 again. I just dont understand why i cant get into the 11's!

Hey Josh,

Sorry I had to rush back to Maine! My last pass was the best one of the day when I carried out through 4th. After that 3rd and 4th started grinding really bad. I was pretty sure my tranny was on the way out. So that you know, I purchased the 5spd and it should be in the car in about a week with the new clutch. The tranny and clutch were the main reasons why I couldn't break 11s. Sean has my number if you need it! I have to watch how you drive to learn a few things. You are insanely quick at shifting.

Alright! Good to hear bro, i was pissed cause i couldnt even watch you make your last pass because i was so far back in the staging lanes. Sorry about your tranny issue bro, but on the bright side, you'll love your new 5-speed! Just wanted to congratulate you on one of the sickest built evo's i have ever seen in person. 117 mph trap speed is good enough for an 11 second pass.

You need to learn how to drive better. A friend of mine went 11.57 @ 117 last year in an 04 rs, so it can be done.

 

So far my best trap speed was 120mph but my 60' times are horrible due to many issues, de-staging when in 2step (car rolls forward), second gear lock out, etc.

 

I went 11.8@115 with my T67 05 MR on pump...
