EVO noob

I'm a noob to this board. I recently started looking at the EVO's. I was interested in the STi but the EVO peaks my interest. For those of you that have gotten one, how fun is the car and how happy have you been with it so far?

What kind of prices are you guys looking at in the LI region? The Wantagh dealer wants 3k markup! I know there are dealers out there selling at sticker....

Thanks for any information!

VE,

I am a veteran of Mitsu AWD's and this car is heads and tails above. I guarentee you will not be disappointed. I have not driven a Subaru so I cannot compare the two.

I am in western Suffolk and picked up my car on March 20th at Sunrise Mitsubishi in Oakdale. They were asking 5k over at that time. I woudn't pay that much over and they wouldn't let me leave without the car so they dealt. I don't know what they are asking now.

My friend Dennis said that Riverhead was dealing but I am not sure. Check out the Club Evolution. Jim and Willie picked up their cars in Staten Island at considerable savings.

If I can get the financing I am trying to secure and obtain a decent interest rate then I am going to seriously start to shop around. I'm pretty sure that Wantagh is firm on their markup...but it won't hurt to try cause my girlfriend just bought a Lancer OZ from there this past week. They have about 3-4 EVO's at their disposal that they haven't been able to get rid of in the past few weeks. The Tarmac Black looks like my color

I'll check out Club Evolution at your suggestion.

Thanks!

If you search on this board for people trying to deceide between the EVO and STI you will find that their one suggestion is DON'T DRIVE IT! If you do you then you will buy it.

Excellent color choice...

It's nice to see a familiar face. Thanks for wishing me luck but I don't think its going to happen....

Wishful thinking though. I always like to make sure that I can't that way I can sleep at night knowing that I tried my best to get a car like the EVO.

VanillaEPS ...IF you have good credit you can secure a good rate. A member of our club got their EVO at around 4-5% APR from the dealer. Also, we have connection for the best price in NYC, under msrp! IF interested please PM and we cxan set something up wit the dealer. HE is the sales manager so he makes all the decisions.

Well I just spoke to a sales manager in Suffolk. He is at least hearing offers to price, the Tarmac Black EVO he has in stock, below sticker. I'm going to meet with him today and see what he has to say.
I already have financing available - its just a matter of making the numbers work and crunching some numbers to see if I can afford this car. I'll fast every other day to have this car in my driveway.

What is a good price for a an EVO with just the wing?

I met an Apex Silver on the road and he bought his there. He seemed happy. They are known for low prices on the Jeep end over there so I expect the same on the Mitsu end which they are new to.

Go, go, go....see you on the road...
