Vegas - Thanks to Mike's help, my car is essentially ready for NED. It is running very well with this new intercooler, and Mike's l33t tuning skillz. Unfortunately I won't be able to go this Friday because my brother is flying in this weekend and we will be doing family stuff. When is the next time you could do? Are Wednesdays no good for you?

As soon as the clutch is broken in - a couple launches will tell me pretty quickly if something is borked. and i need to bandaid it with a longer adjustment rod.

I don't even care that they broke it - as much as that they didn't tell me, and then when i questioned Alex about why my boost response is so slow, and down 4 psi - he played dumb, and said Nick might have lost one of the hoses, when he knew full well exactly what happened. It was a total miscalculation on his part, and I'm pretty offended. In that same conversation he offered to fix it, and take some of the fluids off my last bill when i came in next time for brakes, - and they would fix it then.

except... that I'm definitely not taking my car to them for brakes. I've helped Dave do Evo brakes on his and another car to know how simple a job it is.

The _only_ reason i took my car to DSG, was because i trusted them. My first Twin-disk, they forgot to tighten a retaining clip, it popped and i had to get it towed back to them, no biggie they paid for the tow and fixed it, but then they scratched up my door, and forgot to tighten my negative battery terminal. I wonder what else they forgot to tighten?

So I'm a little worried - the new clutch is holding, but the shifting sucks, the clutch is not adjusted right, and its still almost at the end of adjustment. So did they forget to reset the adjustment like i asked them too? did they even put in the new throw-out bearing? Did they put 75w85 in the Transmission? Whos to know.

As soon as the clutch is broken in - a couple launches will tell me pretty quickly if something is borked. and i need to bandaid it with a longer adjustment rod.

I don't know - The guys i went to, didn't even bother hooking it up. They just gave me the sticker without touching the car. I can confirm the readyness codes in Scantech later when i check my boost tables.

No comment, sorry Dex. Hopefully it'll all be better soon!

EDIT: Also, Scruffy is this event free to watch or run in?

a lot of the reason why im considering paying AMS, Ivey or CBRD to be honest is that i feel bad taking up your time and relying on you. maybe we can talk about it next time i see you? kluvubai

so far my mod plan is:
- Apex'i Intake
- Megan DP
- Perrin HFC
- Tanabe CB
- Hallman MBC
- AMS LICP
- AEM UEGO + JDM Map Sensor

Nothing is set in stone yet, but those are my thoughts currently.

Looks like a good list to me! That's basically where I am, minus the intake & plus FMIC (& clutch/flywheel...). 300+ whp is a lot more fun that stock!

I think your car still has a lot more power to be had out of it marshall face. With the downpipe, ported exhaust mani, o2 housing and drop in I was at 290whp/320ftlbs.

Oh I know...it really hasn't been tuned yet...Although the AFR's do look good at WOT surprisingly (11.0ish AFR). Was that from DSG's dyno? If so, how does that compare with ESP's Mustang dyno? My car would be around 350hp on a dynojet, and over 400 crank as it sits now...320Tq is a lot though!

going for a ride in Paul S's car pretty much sold me on modding teh evo. he was barely getting on it and it just felt sooo much more ridiculous than my car.

vegas, when would chris be coming around in case i wanted to go this route?

this was on a land and sea dyno at TDC tuning. He said the configuration he was running should yield a stock STi about 230hp. Yeah 320ft/lbs is a lot. that is what a stock cat + catback and 25psi will do
