Does anyone know a good shop in cambridge that can figure out why the **** I'm getting steering wheel vibration? The shop I am taking my car to is jerking me around telling me I need hubcentrics...
But I'm pretty damn sure I don't.
I just want this problem fixed before I go back to Toronto

What shape are your tires in? If not them, what about your rotors? Mine had some bad vibration before I had my rotors cut. Mitsu rotors are infamous for warping. Even then I had a little, it was not until I swapped out my rims and tires that it went completely away. Just a suggestion...
The tires are in pretty decent shape.
I noticed that 2 of my rims have both the old and new weights on them, which is making me wonder if maybe that is the problem
I know my rotors are a bit warped because I get some vibration during braking. But I'm just talkiing about normal driving at highway speeds.

As for your tires being out of balance, that prob would be the cheapest/easiest route to check first.
by putting them on the balancer you can also see if the tires have flat spots and if the rims are warped in anyway. Sometimes you can still get the rims to balance out even with a flat spot big enough to cauze a slite vibration.
Aaron..if you're not using acorn-shaped lug nuts...or even if you are, you may need hub centering rings. I ran mine for a year without them, did a rotation and couldnt get rid of the vibration. I stole some rings from my other wheels, installed them and the vibration went away...
Greg I just wrote you a message but I didn't see your post.
If you could help me out I would really appreciate it. I got a 8 hour drive back to Toronto and it sucked coming here with the vibration the whole way. I'm really not looking forward to it on the way back..
Please let me know!!!

Well my car is completely stripped. No exhaust mani, o2 housing or hotside. Even with a few hickups it took about 2 full hours of work with Greg (JDM blue) and Mikies help. Only one stripped bolt too thank god. Everything should be ported and coated by next weekend and reinstalled. Hopefully the install goes smoother.
So we should do a chilies meet this week in framingham. I have a subaru to chauffeur me around
