Alright guys...I got the parts going to the body shop today. I need some oppinions on final touches for emblems/nameplates for the trunk lid after new paint.

1) OEM Chrome emblem and factory chrome name plates

2) No name plates and just the emblem
a. Chrome
b. Black
c. JDM Chrome with red inlay

3) UK "Evolution VIII" trunk badge, emblem (colors above) no name plates
a. Chrome
b. Black
c. Carbon Fiber

I'm leaning towards opt 3 myself...let me know what you guys think

Also, I am powdercoating the calipers due to the common clear coat issue. Here are the colors I am trying to decide on:

1) Factory Red

2) Gold metallic (similar to STi)

3) Chameleon (like Kevins front emblem)

Keep in mind my wheels are gloss black

 

Tim let me know how your stuff comes out that went in for powdercoating, I may use your place for my rims in the next month or so..

 

i'm partial to option 3. i love the UK style rear badge. in terms of inlay colors for the emblem, thats a tough call. i think chrome, black and red all look sick. what color is your car again? silver? i tend to think chrome or red inlay would look best on silver.

 

Option 3 in carbon or black and black brembos.

 

Will do. I am working on a date to set with him. Seeing that my car will be on jackstands in the garage while the brakes and wheels are being done, I am hoping to install the other stuff when it all arrives. It may be in another month or so. I plan on doing this stuff when "winter tire season" rolls in, mid to late November.

I will definitely post up before I head down there to see if anyone else wants any work done. It will be easier for him if those who want any powdercoating done, to meet up with the stuff that needs it, and bring it all at once. This way I am not the middle man and you guys can speak directly, chose your colors, and all with no mis-communication. He is located on the Salem/Derry NH border.

 

Sounds good man, that's the right timing for me also..and it'd be nice to see his color palette in person, thanks man, keep me posted.
