I don;t think its a fail, Jay. Just that you have had bad luck with your trans/clutch.

Getting it from Damien? He is a good kid. I bought DSMLink off of him and sold him a couple things as well. Obviously if you have any questions on anything, feel free to let me know.

Exactly...I love 4g63's, but it was time for an update. It is been around since the 70's, and while still easy a great motor, really is 'old technology'. They are cheap, easy to build, and handle a ton of power, which is why everyone loves them. But the 4b11 has so much more into it (which can be both good and bad). The timing chain is an upgrade (imho!); all aluminum; VVT on both cams; etc. And it makes power just as easy. People were all over it before they even sold the first X. I at least gave it a chance, and glad I did

I think it has a lot of potential. I don't like the idea of a semi-closed deck aluminum block for a turbo i-4 though. I think having to sleeve a block is expensive and annoying. I love the dual MIVEC but they could have/should have done that to the 4G63. The timing chain and head design are probably the greatest improvements on the motor.
