Not sure the real reason for the graph mishap. But it really isn't a huge deal to me as Chris technically didn't get to finish the tune that day. So, I am guessing thatnot finishing mine, that Kevins was the last saved vehicle to run on teh dyno. The After me was Vegas. I am not overly concerned, as Chris was not going to be real aggressive on the tune. Oh well, I will get it sorted out at some point.

Well if you wanna really go that far back...I wanted to slap the doctor back when I was born..and go home...

Wait...what!!??

Ya..I deff need to leave..

On a plus note, a buddy of mine here (salesman) just got rid of his 04 350Z touring...for a pretty damn clean 05 electric blue Evo 8...only has an exhaust...and only has 20k miles . And he is already loving it..told him he should have just started with the Evo to begin with . Now I have someone to buy my hand-me-downs this winter..

I see some of you guys are heading to that detailing clinic this weekend. Any of you that live semi-near me? If so, we should meet up and drive down.

Hope you guys have fun, post up some tips!!

I don't have a timing belt so I guess I wont have that issue

If you live near the guy, just stop by tomorrow, you can see it then. You dont have to stay.

have you read the break in procedure? ie: your not supposed to cruise at the same RPMs you want them fluctuating and you want to be constantly getting in and out of boost to seat the rings properly?

Turco you are right.

There is actually a way of breaking in motors within very little milage, I have talked to AMS, DEVO, and a few different engine builders and they all have the same feeling. How do you think they tune these big hp drag motors? they surely aren't bringing then on the street for 500 miles.

if you are interested in a great way to break in the motor. try this on a new motor...
Dan (fimotorsports) told me about this a few years ago and he obviously has had some great motors in his evos.
Go onto a quiet road or dyno and go down to 10-15mph in 3rd gear. Bring the car slowly from what ever the rpm is at 15mph to 6000rpm and then just let off the gas and let the car come back to 10-15mph again without hitting the brakes. Repeat this step approx 3 times.
From then drive the car at your leisure. some take it nice and easy while others will go right to tuning the car on the dyno and/or road.

Now that the leak has been sorted out, I really want to have the tune finalized/finished.

Chris did not like that dyno at all. he kept saying it was loading weird. I guess the crazymikie was right about that

I think that detailing day is full. I wish I could make it. I actually have to know how to clean a car now since I got the vette.

it's the vacuum that actually helps seat the rings, hence the reason why allowing the car to cruise without throttle is important.

yeah....HENCE!
