you gotta keep an eye on that thing! with no miles on it, you don't want someone else performing the hard break in procedure for you.

have you read the break in procedure? ie: your not supposed to cruise at the same RPMs you want them fluctuating and you want to be constantly getting in and out of boost to seat the rings properly?

Which brings your total to only about 480% of what you should be paying to keep your P.O.S. Mitsubishi clean.

Just be careful with your buffing- you guys run the risk of rubbing the paint clear off of these gems!

I keed I keed.... you know I has a love for you fools.

Yeah, i wouldn't leave that vehicle anywhere.... just bring something to do and wait for them to finish it.

As for break-in.... there's nothing like bouncing off the rev limiter a few times to get those rings seated ...

I know you guys are believers in the hard break, but I think im gonna keep it below 5k rpms till 600 miles, then drive it hard.

I hear you about leaving your car there man at Tint King...they are all good guys though, and my dad knows the owner personally. They do some very high end cars, and it would never leave the 30 foot area around the garage to the parking spaces they leave the cars in when done. (I totally understand you sticking around there though and waiting for it)

i think this is super important. especially the part about not staying at the same RPM. when i first got the evo i'd constantly drop down to like 50 and speed up to 80+ on the highway. ppl must thought i was loco

EDIT:

i did the soft breakin approach. in fact i didnt really start revving her until 1.5k and even then i did it sparingly till 3k. iirc.
