if you paint them, use the rustoleum commercial enamel. i used it on my winter rims and after two years of salt, whacking curbs and other winter debauchery, there are minimal chips on them. the key is to sandblast the crap out of them first and then clean them really well.

yea im going to wait. im thinking next summer if i still like the idea i'll take the tires off, sandblast them and paint em. haha no. maybe if you annoy me enough i'll give in hahaha.

I don't know if 17's will fit in the blasting cabinet, but I already have a sandpit on the side of the house where I think the kids had a sandbox or something. I think with a few bags of sand from home depot and the $15 sandblaster from Home Depot we could GIT R DONE!
