omg, i watched Dirty Jobs this weekend.... Mike Rowe went to this place that de-feathers & prepares game birds for hunters... this like 80 y/o woman ran the place and EVERYTHING that came out of her mouth was some ridiculous sexual innuendo and Mike kept saying "thats tshirt material" hahah awesome episode.
Timing might have been off, but it sounds like the balancer shafts were out of sync. I have heard when they are off, bolts from all over the engine bay start backing out.

any mechanic would know to not rely on the plastic marks on the timing cover. If you use the marks on the pullys in the timing case everything lines up good. (found out the hard way)

That is exactly what was wrong... the balancer shafts were out of sync
Stop misspelling my SN. Is it that hard? (thatswhatshesaid)
Actually, I said it. I told him to get somethign with a warranty and quit dicking off with things he cant fix when he has no: A) skills, B) tools, C) money, D) time.
SCENARIO: A man sees a train coming down the track. He asks some bystanders if he should stand on the track whilst the train passes by. The bystanders say, "no, if you stand on the tracks you will totally get hit by the train." The man ignores their advice and stands directly in the middle of the train track. Sure enough, the man gets a face full of locomotive.
QUESTION: Would you say that this gentlemen had the "*worst* train luck" ever?
EDIT: Don't mind me- just stopping in to add a little sunshine.

btw, you're wrong, I do have time and the tools. The money is there I'm just restricting how much I spend as I would much rather pay off student loans and I know I can get this done right even with a budget. As far as the know-how, that's why I'm doing it.
Regarding your scenario... The lancer was a working car with a warranty and such. The tranny went due to a bad synchro and I had NO choice but to fix it. The Galant was supposed to come with the right parts and **** but the toolbag who was supposed to be working on the car ****ed me by calling me up one night and telling me he wasn't going to help with the job and that he wanted me to take it off the property and didn't care about the money.
Your sn, iono I just spelt it that way because I didn't know how to spell it. My bad?

Correct me if I'm wrong anyone, but at least on my n/a car I could install a wideband if I had found a way to seperately simulate the O2 and the heating element.
EDIT: Didn't know you guys had to run a test pipe for that.. my bad.

Personally I have my wideband simulating the O2 sensor, though the only problem is the heating element has to be simulated so there's a fix that uses a resistor to trick the computer into thinking that the heating element is still intact if you wish to completely remove the O2 sensor. Though I think for the evo you can simulate the heating element as well.
