So tell me, am I crazy?
No your not crazy. I wouldnt mind owning an Audi/VW. My buddy has a MK5 GTI and its a pretty nice car and much more comfortable than the Evo IMO. Speaking of getting new cars, today I probably saw one of the few Mustangs I'd trade the Evo for. It was a 01-05 Saleen S281 Mustang Supercharged. IDK what he did to it but it had no front bumper and it hauled ***. I pulled up next to him and he just floored it but right after that I passed him and he stayed far behind the whole way so IDK if something broke or if he didnt wanna mess with my Evo lol.

Haha. If I had a clue how to take a tranny out I would but instead I washed and waxed the Evo. I cant believe how dirty it was and how much sand was on my carpets. Another reason why I hate driving the Evo in the winter.

Hey Turco, do you think a 3" IC will provide enough cooling for a FP Red turbo? I'd love to get a Perrin 3.5" but I may have to get something a lil cheaper but if a 3" cant handle a FP Red I may just bite the bullet and get the Perrin. Is the Perrin a direct bolt on or did you have to trim some things?

Talking

rice....

while out on a drive today (a friend got an 06 sti today so we went for a drive) we ran into a town named Rice, MN....

this is the outcome... only the number is photo shopped... this is another friend's poser sti... has the loudest bov ive ever heard. and the most riced out exhaust tone... we are going to chop off the X in WRX because we named the car Wild Rice today after a different sign we saw in the town of Rice.

Figured it was good for a laugh

Most aftermarket ICs will "work" with a red. I would make sure you get specs, CFM flow, pressure drop, core type. Then make sure it fits what you need. The silver perrin is $610 shipped, there aren't too many ICs that can beat that price regardless of size especially with cast endtanks.

I'm sure you ment to say crappy monday, no?

Took the dog out this morning it's raining, no biggie. Go shave/shower/etc go back outside 20 mins or so later and theres a ton of snow on the ground slick as ice (probably was mostly). Had my first "close" call going down my hill today. Thankfully the people on the road were paying attention. I've never locked the brakes on that hill, never even kicked in the ABS...very very fun morning.

Perrin raised their effin pricing again, we actually had a customer pricing issue based on their price a few days ago. It's up to $739 for both anodized & standard now on their website.

Morning guys,
I've been lurking lately, doing a lot of research for the gvr4 and such. She'll be coming together nicely soon enough. I have gathered majority of all the main components for her in my basement and am stripping the engine bay now to prep for sanding and paint (engine bay only).

The lancer is back, running better than ever (knock on wood) 2200$ later of course... So I'm keeping her, not worth it to sell it for 6000$ after blowing 2000 on the tranny issues.

Is it me or was it not supposed to snow this morning...?
