The driverside front floormat is beat and torn.

I'ma try to ***** the insurance company out enough to get them to let the totaled car for cheap so I can still buy another evo. I'm looking at Smike's Evo but the high mileage and track record throws me on the fence. We'll see, Mike has been very communicative and a great seller. My mom (works for the insurance handler except for the home division) *****ed out the auto group and I'm getting my sales tax covered since I only had the car for 7 days.
i'll keep you guys posted. My rims come tomorrow :-) I'm gonna make a table out of them haha

Yea I know the drivetrain has high mileage. Smike's evo has 113K on it.. lol
I figured it'd be a nice parts car to have as a backup, especially given my history of cars. The only thing is that my evo is an 03 and the ones I'm looking at are 05+
They estimated 14500$ worth of damage, I'm gonna try to get the car back for <1000$ for the headache and the fact that I have parts in the mail right now that were supposed to help fix the car due to them telling me it was repairable. I'm going to settle everything today with the insurance company, I'm taking a no budge approach to it all. I still have to call in for physical therapy on my back.
I'm still confused as to how you go from 3400$ to 14500$ on an appraisal. How bad of an appraiser do you have to be to f' up that bad.

Yep I know, hence my approach. They told me I could go ahead and buy parts for the car to help fix it. Either they refund me for those parts or they cut it off the repurchasing of the evo. I have no problem going to face these people in person, they screwed me over and now I'm just fighting for my money back. You guys all know how stubborn I am...

Anyways there are people on here that want parts, so we'll see if I can split the buyback with my buddy who owns a shop that works on a lot of evo's.
how did they screw you over? you got hit and the car was totaled. You shouldn't have bought parts towards a car that was in that condition. Most accidents aren't truly assessed until they are at the body shop and they can realistically check and price out the damage.
It's your money but with the mileage you are going to have a tough time selling the big ticket parts. I would let the car go to a better place for anything over 2-3k.
