I just had to change my password at work.. it must require at least 8 characters, cannot be one of the past 16 passwords you used, must contain 1 capitalized letter, 1 lower case, 1 number, 1 symbol and cannot contain your full first, or last name, user ID, ID number or telephone number...

I want to shoot myself, I just spent 30 minutes figuring out a password.

 

i thought my last company was assinine. that's really stupid. it just encourages people to write down the stupid passwords they can't remember, which is worse than letting them have a secure password that they can remember and not having to change it all the freakin time.

the funny part of my last company was that they never disabled access after people quit. so, they went through all of this trouble, but in actuality, they missed far greater problems.
