Mikie, I don't think I've seen your fish in the house, but maybe I can help...

Are you heating the water? the bettas can lose color (and die) if they're not kept at 78 degrees.... also, how big of a tank is it in? Despite myths perpetuated by pet stores, they can't live in drinking-glass-sized cups (unless it's that drinking glass that Turco has a few pages back). A 1-2 gallon bowl would be good, 5 gals even better. There's a fish store by you that sells a submersible heater, with thermostat, for under $20 (may even be 10). We got a setup for our department at work and once we heated the tank, fishy was MUCH happier/less deader.

On that lovely note, when do I get to see you wonderful gentlemen this week?

Rocking out party?

By the way, my guitar is much further down the death trail...besides the whammy bar casualty, the strum bar is starting to take a pretty heavy dump. But I DID D/L the blink182 song and... GASP... the all-american-rejects song... sigh.

aaaaaaalLOOOOOOONNNGGGGGGGGG aaaaaaaLOOOOOOONGGGGGG

you can see fishy next time you are over. he's pretty warm (probably around 65ish degrees). i never heated the water in my apartment and he was pretty happy. then again, i think he started getting lethargic after i moved, but that was in the summer, so the water was definitely warm then.

he started getting lazy- like he'd just sleep in the plants all day. now, he just sleeps on the bottom of the bowl. it's a 1.5gal bowl, so that sounds okay.

maybe i can get another one and let him eat the sick one :P

i bet your happy i left my guitar! when my first one croaked the down strum broked first, then i got good w/ up strum. then up and down would each go out for x amount of time, and sometimes both! the whammy never broked but the "rock-out" action bite the bucket.
