dave, buying a beater and having a "racecar" is a pretty good option. but it is still tough to justify the expense of 2 cars when you can have a mix of both - the M3. There's a sweet 02 at herb chambers for 28k...it only has 35k miles on it!!

hahaha, besides Dave, don't you have the 60k service coming up? No point in spending those hundreds of dollars when they could go towards a new car!

 

My main focus is to eliminate the door panel rattles. Plus the mysterious rattle in the center dash. What I thought was my EGT wire to my gauge rattling against something, but its not. Erratic rpm changes. The creaking from the roof, possibly sunroof components. Or thE frustrating 'sunroof doesn;t want to open everytime' issue. Did I mention the climate control cable for temp being very difficult....and the lack-luster interior design

All of these have a repair solution. But do I want to keep having to address these issues....not so much.

 

The stiff climate cable is a known issue. I have read that people actually break them.

yeah i was discussing this guys design, a few pages back. to combat noise he uses a regulated DC line to power the heater, but its not sized properly. he has a max 1.5 amp draw, when the heater circuit can take up to 5amps on a cold day.

it takes the heater a while to heat up, but he gets away with using simple power with a regulator thats ~$1.
