you may want to start with the .8 in that case. i'm running the 1.0 with 750cc injectors. there is a chart on aquamists website that gives sizing info.

The vendor I bought the kit from who installs and tunes them on Evos all the time said (after looking at my list of mods) that I should try a .9 or 1.0 Jet :shrug:

it seems like it's still a black art so if someone's already done the research, then just go with what they say.

after installing my kit, i think i was able to add like 5 psi and lean the car out to ~12.8:1 - 12.5:1 and still add a degree of timing. and, post IC temps were still within 10degrees C of ambient.

I didn't want to confuse any of our more "simple" brethren with misinformation.

 

oh- my thoughts on the jet size. i saw only inject enough meth to get the most benefit you will get. remember, meth will invariably make its way into your oil and break it down. it will cause my wear in the long run, so i would only inject what you need.

in addition to that, i would run a high-quality oil and change it frequently to make sure it doesn't get contaminated.

 

do you run 100% or 50/50?

Also, what is your source for meth/alky?

That makes sense, I'll stick with the .9 jet then. I've been using Mobil 10w-30. Usually change it 3-4k.

 

i was running 50/50 meth/water, now my brew is 192 oz 50/50 water/meth and 16 oz of nitromethane. the block is in one piece still, although i just put the new juice in this past weekend. we'll see what happens.

i bought my meth from mcmaster/carr, but you need to ship to a business address (i ship it to work). it does turn some heads to see a 5 gal pail show up with hazmat stickers all over it, but it lasts a while. i think it's like $50 for 5 gallons. then i cut it with distilled water.

i think you can buy it from snow performance as well as a few other distributors online. i think they sell smaller quantities of premixed stuff too. honestly, 1 gallon will last a long time.
