so the plugs stock are copper, but you got iridium? i had put iridium ones on my celica. i was planning on probably doing plugs every 20k.

thatd be cool if you gave me a hand with the first oil change. i'll probably just use the drain plug this time b/c i'd like to get it done soon, but i'll probably order that valve anyway and throw it on next time.

btw how is the new rockband DLC?
copper plugs are the best. they need to be changed often in turbo cars, though. i change mine every oil change. since your plugs go in the top of the motor and it won't look like you got in a fight with a cat from changing them, i say go with copper.

platinum is the worst, performance wise. they were made to have a long life, at the expense of performance. i never bought into the iridium thing.

moreover, looking at spark plugs is just as important as changing your oil. they give you a good idea of how your car is running.

so the quote of the evening last night-

we went to cheesecake factory last night for dinner. the [very cute] waitress spilled a mojito on steve and was completely embarassed. during the commotion, she said 'That's never happened before' to which I [without thinking] said, 'that's what all the ladies say.'

At first she didn't catch it, but she came back like 5 minutes later and asked 'who said that?' I think she was amused- at least I didn't notice any foreign matter in my food.

Yeah i really really wish they made coppers for the 9 but everyone seems very happy with the stock plugs.

Paul let me know how much you get the plugs for and i will most likely just have you order 8. Any day next week is fine with me, paul we can do it at my place too if you want and dave is busy.

As for the 2step thing, i dont think it is a map issue since i ahve the same map as dex, i think it is something odd on certain cars. All i know is that it is meant to launch so technically the ebrake should not be up anyway. Paul try it not moving without the ebrake and let me know if it doesn't work. Maybe it was turned off (i.e. set above the rev limit)

Paulnsx if you want some crush washers I have a couple of them on hand, though dunno if its worth for you to come out to boston for it. I bought about 20 oil filters in bulk so they gave me a handfull of them to have along with it. Though I have a Fumoto valve so I never used any of them...

PM me if you're interested.

Gah I just rolled 61K and still haven't had time to do my timing belt and waterpump... But I got my motorcycle.. I just need to figure out how to get going I suck at starting.

the paw prints aren't from a kitty? or is this an unrelated animal incident?

i don't think it's a cat. i heard it the other morning running around in the rafters. it sounded bigger than a cat and seemed to have a different stride than a cat would have. i didn't want to stick my head up there to look, but i am pretty sure it was bigger than a cat.

when i get a chance, i need to climb up there and see if there are any clues....like a nest or something

a guy i work with setup a motion sensor web cam (w/ night vision) in his attic to help catch some flying squirrels (which he thought were mice!). kind of nerdy but it worked!
