So after me getting learned on the interweb last night, I think I can build a sub that will be able to produce 18Hz at 100+db. I think that might honestly shake the entire house, as well as the neighbors....

I just need to find a good amp now....

Paul- let me call you after I get out of work Saturday (4pm). And I will see where Elesha and I are at with plans for the weekend. Its my b-day Monday, but all our sitter options are booked already. So we may not have anyone to watch Samantha so I can get my drink on for my big turning 3-0 celebration. Oh well, no biggie. Samantha is priority #1...not me hahahaaa. I'll hit you guys up if we can get time to come out and play.

I just ordered new tires for my 600RR man. Got some new Michelin Pilot Powers coming in tomorrow. My new front sprocket and D.I.D. gold chain are being ordered today. My bike is getting close to street again. Once its ready, we'll get a ride organized. I need my fix of some back roads. And I know Elesha will be down to ride. She loves going on the bike withme. Wait till you see the new plastics I am ordering for it. Coming from Japan, and I am on a waiting list. Hopefully should see them in 3 weeks or so. I'll post pics once the set arrives.

Well, when you are ready hit me up. I have been debating selling it. When you make your decision on the other parts you want then we can talk. I think this pipe is the same for teh VIII/IX. I'll hang on to it. If you need before I use, great. If not...whatever.

No way- not in my car. I don't listen to anything with gansta-rific bass, so it would be completely unneeded. I would like explosions in movies to be more realistic, though....

I used this calculator called unibox. It's pretty helpful because you can figure out how much power to feed in without having too much excursion and damaging the drivers. There are different options for sealed boxes, ported, passive radiator, etc.

It takes a little digging around to find the T/S data for the speaker, but once you have that, you can pop it in and start experimenting. You can even try different configurations involving multiple drivers, etc.

The next thing I have to read up on is how to design a good box- I guess there's an art to bracing it and all that good stuff. We'll see....either it will work or it won't. If it doesn't, I suppose I can convert it into a fish tank or something.....

I'm jealous.. I did however just order some new tires, Pirelli Diablo Supersports, got em' for cheap of cyclegear.com My bike is a 96 honda cbr 600, and well its seen better days. Its been dropped numerous times over the last 3-4 owners and is strictly a learner bike for me. My plastics are all scratched and cracked up, however this winter I'm taking it all off, fiberglassing the cracks and putting a flat black coat on it all followed up with hopefully a fender delete and finally installing the solid black rear tire that came off the bike (came with two sets of rims but they're mix'n'matched right now so i have solid black up front and black with polished lip in back)...

I'm still taking it easy on the bike and have yet to be on the highway. I like cruising the backroads, but don't really do anything extreme. Taking it slow for now, just being smart about the whole learning process. I had a friend who went down because he went into a corner with only a month's worth of experience way too fast and lost it.
