Today (after spening the last 20 hours of my life killing myself installing new parts on my car with my friends from KTA/eRodTechRides) I took my car up to Moon Performance and to meet Seth, owner/operator of the establishment. The facility is state of the art with a Mustang Dyno and full laser alignment rack. New building in the heart of beautiful Lake Placid. Could not ask for a better location. Seth was friendly and personable and made for an unforgettable experience. With my unorthodox modifications (ATP 3037S, Helix 272 Exhaust Cam, crower springs/retainers, eBay test pipe/cat-back, and snow 2d meth injection, txs mbc and air filter, fuel mods) Seth was able to produce 411whp and 370wtq. The powerband is fantastic and car pulls extremely hard. AFR's very between 10.8-11.2 due to inconsistency of teh 2D meth injection. The only place I was able to find knock logging on the way home was at the top of 3rd and 4th gear at 8,100rpm's...and even then it was a gentle 1-2 whispers. I'd HIGHLY recommend the professionals at Moon Performance for any of your needs. Seth has a great handle on tuning and does it the right way. You will in no way be disappointed in your visit to this facility.

Probably around 6 hours. From NYC, your probably better off heading to Sean Ivey in NJ, or CBRD in York, PA.

Definitely down for a road trip. I'm actually working with Seth to setup a dedicated day for our area. Subaru/Mitsu/Ect cruising up for a dyno/tuning day. I'll keep you informed as to exactly what's going on Mike.

As far as the numbers, considering the elevation and the fact of it being an MD I was VERY happy. Still have a lot of room for improvement also. Still on stock intake cam, stock manifold, ect. Love the fact that the car just keeps pulling...Doesn't get you excited then drop you on your head like the stock IX turbo. The fact that the power is so linear is fantastic.

 

I just wanted to give my review of Moon Performance as well. I went up there yesterday for a dyno day, and I had a blast. The shop is clean, Seth and his staff were awesome hosts (provided a bbq for us and answered any questions we had), and they are very knowledgeable. I can't wait to go back when I get some new mods to put on.

Lake Placid is probably my favorite place in the entire world. Definatly gonna have to take a trip down there one of these days to check the place out.
