Are you a stock Evo owner?

Hey guys and girls,

I am looking for people with stock Evo's (VIII, IX, every and all models) to be part of the tuning effort I've started.

If you guys haven't caught my thread, I've recently compared my friend's Evo IX RS (stock) to my IX MR (stock), and I plan on hitting up a few more people I know.

Check it out: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=309042

HOWEVER, to make my story complete, I want to present more data!

So, if you have a stock Evo and live within driving distance from Hartford, Connecticut (CT), and want to get your car datalogged, just let me know.

`Gus

Thanks!

I'm specifically looking for a VIII MR, but anything else is fine.

`Gus

p.s. I'm presuming that finding a stock VIII would be very hard, especially on EvoM!

awesome cdot.

PM me or email me at psgevo@projectsologear.com if you're making a trip down here. I've got the laptop and the cable ready.

If you wait long enough, I should have acquired a Wideband O2 and digital boost readout ready too!

I'm bone stock down to the air filter. I picked up my '06 MR new back in May and it currently has about 2300 miles on it. I plan to leave it this way for quite awhile (at least for the next few years). I dyno'd the car last month at Bristol Dyno and the 230hp or so was right on par with your blog, but I did somehow get a best of 244hp out of one of the runs. Maybe I have a factory freak, I don't know. If you're ever in a jam and need a fresh log from a stock car I'm in NYC and you're more than welcome to stop by.

^damn you two guys clearly don't DD your Evos

I'm bone stock except for a K&N filter and sometimes I use my zeitronix off the DSM in the car as a boost gauge. Just a regular ol' IX with almost 14k miles on it.

244HP?!?! that is pretty high on the dyno. Did you have corrections to the dyno values?

Hey I'll be swinging by Yonker's this Saturday, maybe we can find a good time to meet up and do some datalogging? I should be free anytime in the afternoon.

Do you have any logging capability? I am curious to see your data plus the boost values.

Is 244 hp considered high for a stock ix? If you figure 15% drivetrain loss, it equals 280 bhp, which is about right.

btw, great thread: "Gus' EvoIX MR Tuning Story"; I've been following it with interest
