Coilover install in MA?

Hey everyone,
I'm based out of Boston, MA and was wondering if there are any good local shops that won't kill me on labor for a coilover install. I own a Lancer Ralliart and plan on getting some Megan coilovers in about a month or two so I'm just gauging my options for install shops. I don't have enough experience to install them myself though. Also might need to replace front sway bar endlinks as well. If they can mount tires the better because I have new rims in mind that I want to install and hopefully drop the car enough for it to look good with the new setup.

Thanks guys,
-Jason

its really a pretty easy install if you have a jack and some stands.

Turco, if I can get the wheels mounted and balanced, what else is needed to setup the suspension adjustments? Like do i need the 4 wheel scales to measure weight??

With CO's you can do a lot. Setting the height, corner balancing, rebound, ect ect depending on the CO. After install you will probably need the camber set as well and an alignment depending on the last time it was done. If you recently had an alignment the toe should be ok.

I haven't had an alignment in about a year, as far as the camber set I'm not sure anyone makes one for my car except RRM so would you suggest I just buy one of theirs?

PM me your going price for coilover installs, I might also have a buddy with a LS400 that needs an install if you're interested on that too. lemme know via PM.

do the megan coilovers have camber plates on top?

i would highly recommend a full alignment after installing them, along with getting the car cornerbalanced. i would set the height to the ballpark of where you want it after the install and then have the rest profesionally done.

you will need to retorque bushings as well since the height will probably be fairly different, so you'll need to loosen and retorque the control arm bushings while the car is loaded. this is most easily done while the car is on the alignment rack.

Bruce I am trying to plan an alignment day in North Shore MA for the spring at a really good alignment place. I am going to get quotes for coilover setup vs normal alignments if you are interested for spring time.

If you know basic mechanical work Coilovers are almost as easy as it gets. Should only take a few mins per corner. I think it takes longer to jack the car up and take off the wheels
