I figured it out...Edgewater.. its already set up and a bunch of us probably go there anyways...Thursday night..we can meet up some where on rt 3 or rt 46 and then head right up there...but we would kinda have to set it up online and it would probably not work but im down for this Thursday June 5th, I got a few friends in town i could try to set it up with and then a few of you guys..even if we get 10 of us together would work well enough..post or pm? pm a aim sn or a number so we can officially get a count and get somewhat of a turnout.


And i guess we'd have to get there kinda early ..so if we could meet up sumwhere around 7:30-8-ish , so we can cruise and have enough spots for us to park in...instead of the usual one evo every 30 spots

 

Thursday's in Edgewater is so lame. the entire lot is packed with idiots, holding civics to do burnouts, speeding up and down the parking lanes, immature, showing everyone how cool they are.

Staten Island had a decent show on Wednesday nights, it started as mostly an older crowd with super clean muscle cars but it's evolved. Supra's Skylines, Ford GT, Subbies, Nissan's, and a few higher end 911's (GT3, turbo's etc) have been seen recently. The show is right near the Outerbridge in the Applebee's parking lot. The muscle guys get there around 5-6, and it can run until 11. There is not really many Evo's there at all, sometimes mine is the only one.

I know the bridge toll suck, but it's just another thought. It's a smaller, more mature meet were you don't have to worry about getting hit or ran over by some dumbass, or have the cops cite you for some BS.

 

I would have to agree with you. I remember going to these thursday meets over 2 years ago and the only reason why i stopped going was because of the trouble it always caused. Idiots doing burnouts, revving, blasting music, setting up cones and racing in the lot, bikes doing wheelies... it was just a matter of time before cops came and always broke it up.

I have been hearing though from people that went recently they have said its a little better now, not as much stupid stuff going on but who knows.

 

I was there last week and it was perfect ran all the way to like 12 or later..idiot civic ricers drove by, but it was all good. There was 1 cop circling the lot, but he didn't do anything cuss no one did anything dumb, one kid revved his ridiculously loud trans am a few times, but besides that, no burnouts, music was at a minimum and a few civics drove around but it wasn't bad at all. We would get there early, line up and just chill, its a lot better i haven't heard it being to bad for a few weeks now. But its so easy, already set up and yea, I still wanna do it, no pm's though..no one interested? this thread has been up for a while and nothing has happened, i wanna set it up. Let me know!

i guess we jinxed it...last week was horrible..apparently two weeks ago after like 1 am, all the civic guys stayed late, and got into a fight...so the past week there was like 20 cops cruising and asking to see papers and stuff, it was bad. they didn't kick anyone out, but it was still a waste, I'll end up checking it out in a couple weeks and see if it gets rolling again, but for now, im not wasting gas or putting miles on my car for that. If anyone else checks it out, update on how its doing.
