Chu that guy in the passenger seat looks familiar.
Thanks for the pic Marc.
Thanks for looking out Pete, I'll check them out! Next even will actually by March 8 (?) in NJ if anyone wants to participate. I hope someone with better knowledge of SCCA events can take the lead in starting a thread to post upcoming comptetitive events!
Chu,
I think the Motorsports section would be the correct place for that sort of thread. There was one for the last event at CBP, I don't know if someone will continue to post them or not...
Do you think you'll go to the next event at NJMP? I don't know if I could make it or not but if your willing to go I would try to attend as well. I know I'm going to the CBP event on 3/22.

Yes, Shenandoah is an awesome track, glad you liked the vids, they don't even do that track justice. We are going back there in May with www.trackdaze.com and probably again in October if you want to try it.
you don't have to join any clubs or anything like that to do an HPDE. All you need to do is signup with an orginaziation renting the track for a day and run with them. For example, me and some buddies are doing the Thunderbolt course @ NJMP on 3/21 w/ www.tracktime4cars.com. You just sign up when they open registration and you're in.
it usually costs between $200-$275 to do an HPDE. That might seem like a lot but when you look at the amount of seat time you get at an HPDE vs. an Autox its a real bargin. An AX will cost anywhere between $35-$50 and you'll usually get 3-6 minutes of actual seat time. At an HPDE you'll get between 80-120 minutes of actual seat time, depending on how they structure the day.
the only reason I autox is to curve the HPDE addicition I have. if I could do an HPDE every weekend instead of autoxing I would, but thats not physically (or financially) possible. I could talk about this stuff at great lenght so I'm going to stop now...
