Would anyone who is familiar with brembos be willing to take a look at my rear brake? looks like something is rubbing into the rotor. no noise or squeaks though. i don't want to schedule an appointment with rt or jnz if it turns out to be minor.

let me know. i can make myself available on non 9-5 m-f times.
I would say you got a stone caught inbetween the pad and rotor. Do you think it's still there? With all the stones and cinders put down, it would not surprise me.

If so, you can probably just take the wheel off, and clean out anything inbetween the pad and rotor.

Rt is a quality shop and Vince is a stand up guy. They installed my cams for me. I would go to them again in the future fo sho.

Never done a weekend but I'd guess its when they're the most busy.

Dan, somehow I totally missed your post about your rear brakes. If you want to swing by my garage this weekend I can take a look at it for you... I'm sure its something simple. a stone or something caught between the pad and rotor, like steinvb12 said, is my guess.

thanks guys. i jiggled the brake pad yesterday when checking it out. i looked at it today and the mark on the rotor doesn't look as pronounced. it could be the lighting today or maybe i shook whatever was in there out. if not then, marc, i appreciate your willingness to help and will take you up on it.

got another local question: who sells decent pump gas around here? i've tried shell and sunoco 93 and have been logging some serious knocks under just normal driving. either it is the gas or i really suck at driving. let me know what you guys like or swear by.

I would say your best bet is still Sunoco. When I had my car tuned last I was told to switch fuels as he didn't like what he was seeing, and that was with Shell. Now I try to always use Sunoco. Stay away from Valero and Lukoil...

really? i am knocking worse after my fill up with sunoco today. i mean knock retard values of 3.87 with just starting out from a stop.

i am using an off the shelf map from cobb. that could be my problem too. i flashed down to one for 91 octane but i am using 93 from sunoco. i am going to take some logs tomorrow and see if it is resolved.

wot pulls are fine. no knock. just normal driving.

That's interesting, I always heard that Sunoco and Shell are the best.

I use Sunoco the majority of the time.

I was surprised when he said try a different gas as I always used the Shell 93. I used to use nothing but Sunoco 94, then they took it away... bastards. So its Sunoco 93 for me.

I'm a fan of the Sunoco and Shell 93's. Dan, a custom tune may be the only way to go about it. Every car is different, so those mail-in flashes aren't great.
