well I tried my boost leak test and failed miserably. I have a piece of crap black and decker air compressor. I should have known that it didn't have enough *** for this. I figure I'm just going to snug up the intake just a little to get it to a gas station and I'll do my test there.

haha.....yeah. I need a bigger compressor, that's all. I have a vent valve on my boost leak test and a bottle of "SNOOP" which is basically a leak detector fluid from Swagelok. I couldn't build any real pressure without burning up the crappy thing I had but when I turned it off and opened the vent valve I heard a bunch of air blowing out so it was doing something.

Its cool man. Ray came through with one while we were installing Dave's parts 2 weeks ago. It was for the Sander, and his car is up and making some good power. See him in action this weekend @ E-town.

By the way, this one is for you Jim. Came in today!

I need to build me one of them. I don't think I have a leak, but it couldn't hurt to test it once and a while. I wonder if my craftsman tire inflator would work on it. It would probably kill my mini battery first though.

If it can build 20-30 PSI for at least a few seconds at a time it will work.

well the Blue Beast is done today. Gotta pick her up in a few.
Got a heftier bill then i thought I was getting, but it is what it is. I cant work on this car myself anymore. I lose patience.
I gotta take it back next week and have him retension the timing belt too. I still think its a little on the tight side

Jim, if the inlet diameter on your red is the same as stock turbo you can use my tester.

Doug, if you get te37's I'll be green with envy, but maybe I'll by your CE28's off you to 'lighten' financial burdon. I know of a silver set for sale, I think that whole contrasting color thing is silly.

on a good note insurance has come thru and the car will be fixed 100%. its at my body shop now getting ripped apart. HOpefully I'll be back in the road in 4-6 weeks.

I appreciate the offer Marc. I'll try another air source to see what happens. I'll let you know.
