The site is painfully slow today so I might have posted this twice. I plan to get back in gear and lift until my arms and chest are numb and clean the garage. It looks like someone rolled a frag in.

Well my work decided to crank the heat all the way up today. Were on the 3rd floor (top floor), and it's f'in hot as hell up here. Somethings wrong with the heater and it won't shut off for 24 hours

This weekend is pretty busy for me. My parents are coming up Saturday to help me out with some things around the house. Sunday we're getting new carpets installed in the entire house so that's going to take all day. At this point, my weekend is pretty much shot. Our baby will be here in about 4.5 weeks, so I'm trying to enjoy as much free time as I can, which is getting harder and harder to do.

To trade or not to trade?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2003-...item3a54a0ae44

I have an 04 Evo with all mods in my sig. It has 45K on it it now. They only want 18,500 for that Evo! I was talking to them and said IF I were to trade they would be throwing money it. What do you all think?

It's in Florida so you'd have to either trust them or go down to look at it and buy. I wouldn't do it. Your mileage is better and that one is heavily modded which is always a mixed bag. If you have a BBY I'll trade. j/k Why trade anyway?
I've had "get on my horse" rolling through my head all damn day. Thanks Dan.

My sister lives in Florida and saw it. I would be flying down to see it first for sure. Just talked to the guy over the phone out of curiosity. It doesn't seem to be heavily modded. Just looks well taken care of and a front mount on it. It only has 371 WHP, so I don't think its heavily modded. They agreed to throwing money in. I love how the car looks. I also like the fact of getting more money . My Evo is BBY. I was just looking into it I guess. I figured if I get the same car and get more money out of it then why not. Most likly will not do it. It is an amazing deal though.

so you want to trade your car, which is a model year newer, and with 10k less miles essentially for some cash? meh, not worth it.

It's a 9 turbo, but it also has a standalone. I don't remember saying "heavily" modded but apparently I did type that. Anyway, if you want it, then go for it. Black is damn sexy IMO, but so is blue. I looked for almost a year for a nice BBY before giving up and buying my red.

i dont think that car is making that much power on a stock 9 turbo. I have I 9 with a bbk full and I am not making that much power. It would have to have to meth or e85. I had standalone on my last car, worst think I ever did to that car.

Standalone systems are awesome for a ***** to the wall race car . An old friend had a nightmare of a time tuning and maintaining an EMS on his supra. It was constant ignition issues, cold start problems, and not much of a power increase from a VPC. At that time it was a new system. He dropped $1500 on a tune and paid for an AEM techs hotel and flight too. That netted him a whopping 650 whp on c16. That turned me off from using one. Im sure theyve improved since then but I dont want to take a chance.

Why do you say that? I wanted to eventually get AEM EMS on my car. Yeah, I just mainly found the price outstanding. It has a dyno sheet for the car, so it has to have made that power regardless. I didn't ask details. I wasn't that interested. Just saw it on ebay and friends are talking about getting evos, so I figured I see what else is out there. 18,500 for that car is a steal in my mind. I was thinking about trading because the salesman I was talking to brought it up. I said he would be throwing money in and he said "we can do that". Like I said it was mostly just curiousity to see if I got my Evo for a good price. I'm not going to trade because my evo already has its mark in my heart . Just sharing my findings from Florida with you all.

On another note. I want to do a winter tune on my VIII. I was thinking about CBRD. Any input or suggestions? Car is located near Allentown.

A standalone isn't necessary anymore for these cars until you hit ridiculous power levels. There's so much being done with the stock ECU now. It's completely tunable, and with the ability to convert to speed density, the limit of the stock MAF system is a moot point. If you're not familiar, you should read up on the Tehpra modded ROM's and tuning the stock ECU with ECUFlash. I'm amazed at what they've been able to program these things to do.
