I liken AutoX to skiing. If I go Skiing and don't have one major fall that involves losing at least a pole and a ski, I don't feel like I'm skiing hard enough. If I autoX and don't spin/slide/smoke tires, I don't feel like I'm going as fast as I should.

You were having trouble finding grip in your supercharged Z06? I can't imagine why that would be an issue...
I was must have been driving pretty hard in the second heat then? Had a great launch, carried crazy speed through a easy slaloms, bounched alittle, and spun right where Mark did when he drive my car in first heat...

Sna, I think the biggest available is a 27mm, and it might be more than you want. I'm running the Robispec 27mm and will prolly never hit the third or fourth stiffer settings, so I dont think you really need it. On that note, I looked over the specs on the bar after I got home, and Marc I was wrong about my stiffeness settings. The "softest" is comparable to a 25mm stiffest. Umm, but that track was crazy yesterday casue my car never acted like that.

results are up - http://www.phillyscca.com/solo2/resu...SO112209.shtml

Really wish I could have stayed for the second heat to try and get into the 50's.

Ben, congrats on 1st in BSP. looks like you improved on almost every run

Chu, your car had way more oversteer then I was used to. not sure if it was the RSB, tire pressures or just the traction that day. Other then that I loved they way your car handles, we'll have to swap cars next event and compare.

Pete, I've got vids from my 3 runs, I'll see if I can get them up tonight. You missed a fun one, very laid back event. The course was like ICE though.

Happy Monday.. short week bishes!!

We'll have to do the Warminster test and tune event before the season starts so I could have you drive it to see what you think on a different surface. I though Wachovia seems alittle oily during the walk in the morning, and added to the multiple elevation changes doesn't help...but great lot and course for sure.

Freaking Joe beat me by .1.... Mark, I beat you by 2 cones in our spins

I bet I could cure the oversteer in Chu's car. First off, if you have double or single adjustable shocks, pull some shock out of the rear. My Ohlins really change with just a few clicks of rebound (top adjustment on my shock). If the car is not rotating enough I would add shock stiffness. I usually stay pretty static on tire pressures now. The other suggestion is to pull some rear sway bar out, set it to a softer setting. After researching sway bars, I went back to my stock rear bar. With my set up it was the best move ever, but some of you guys do not have the suspension (meaning stiffer spring rates) I have, so rear bar does work.

Next time we run a wide open crazy course like the one yesterday, set the sway bar to softest setting, I bet you will love how your car reacts. When a car is stepping out (oversteering) to much it makes it very difficult to control at speed and powering out of turns. I basically had that going on my second day at Nationals (2 DNF's and a dirty run) for a horrible finish. My point is sometimes when you see your car snap over-steering or not rotating that first run, it is worth it to try and change settings, it really makes a big difference.

Thanks for the advice Mike. Marc and I talked about the sway bar settings a lot, but there was nothing I could do with no tools. I tried lowering the tire pressures and it just didn't help. Comparing to prior events, my set-up worked but the prior course were more technical. I'm going to start bringing tools. BTW, I am only on springa and oem bilsteins, so there are no adj. available.

Speaking of rearsway bars... whats up with that Perrin? I haven't heard from you...

^ I can't friqqin find the damn mounts is whats up. I am pissed, if you want I will adjust cost of bar so you can purchase mount new? Let me know.

Chu, you only need 2 open end wrench and a jack to move say bar setting. It's easy, if you ever need anything just come see me, I am a rolling garage (sort off).

Next time we do Wachovia, set your bar on lowest setting, next time at Warminster, I would try middle setting because of all the transitions, at CBP I would do lowest setting again. Any speed course, lowest setting, any tight course, you want that car to rotate, so either middle or hard setting. Then from there just use tire pressures to get what you want. Part of what I am learning this year is how to change your car to adapt to the course conditions, for 9 years I was a set it and forget it guy, except for tire pressures.

I will be soon enough. Things are getting busy with the holidays and its getting cold out. I haven't had experience at the track and prefer to get to know my car before I go and make an idiot out of myself .

Chu here is a picture of her. I graduated with her.
