Went great. Wasn't shooting for numbers, just a solid starting point before I switch out to the HKS GT turbo since my tune was so f'ed up. Gained 70 whp and wtqe with the tune, so it was way worth it for me. Great guys over at Top Level. I will be checking them out to do my cams after I get this pile of parts out of my living room and onto my car .

If you want it to trickle, put it on the lowest amperage it will go to.

Definitely the lowest amount of ampere you can set it to. And I went from an rsx to the evo and the switch was amazing! You will not be disappointed. What is your current car?

I think im gonna attempt to set the trickle charger up tonight. If it blows up or something and i die........ somebody take care of my car for me!!

Oh, i have another question too. As you all know, my car has been sitting for like lightyears, so im going to change the oil and give her a tune up and stuff. Is there anything that you guys particularly do for the winter time to your evos? And do you use a lighter oil? What oil do you normally run?

As far as "tune ups" go. In the winter time this is all I do.. Drive the shat out of it! But thats just me....

On a serious note. Ive always run the standard 10w30 and haven't had any problems. Although I must say more recently I seem to be loosing a small amount of oil. Im not sure if its burning or loosing it to my interocoler via blow by. Im not running a catch can unfortunately. My turbo has ZERO shaft play axial and radial (has an estimated 20k miles on it. And last year when i did the cams with Dan the valve seals and seats all seemed to be in good condition and tight.

For your car. Id recomend changing the oil with what ever you normally run, change the plugs if you think they havent been done in a while (there super cheap) only like 10 bucks a set. Make sure you see what heat range your running with the big snail you got now. Check other fluids and top off accordingly and enjoy. You might also want to look into changing tranny, tcase/center diff and rear diff fluids. Depending on the last time you did it. All that stuff is pretty easy to do and every evo owner should be able to do. If you need help im sure any of us would be more then willing to help.

Cant wait to see this thing man.

Given that I shouldn't be allowed to talk since my Evo hibernates in the winter time, from my experience with my Subaru (winter car):

Buy snow tires. Buy the best ones you can afford...Hakkas... It is a relatively cheap insurance policy relative to the costs related to entering a slide at an inopportune time. Unfortunately I speak from experience, not really sure how I convinced myself that AWD plus all-seasons would be sufficient but I happen to know better now.

Hakkas are THE BEST snow tire... PERIOD. I'm sad that I just had a bead rip on one of mine yesterday... Not about to spend another $140 for one 15" Snow tire...

Nah, i'd say a majority of us live either near the base in New London, Near Hartford, or somewhere less than an hour from hartford. I dont think there's many guys on here from that far west. Im super jealous you live over there though. The Shop is over there, and they do AMAZING work. I know from experience. My first evo was done by them and i highly suggest you go there for your work.

Arrggg!!! You have an EP3 for your car right now!? i want one of those as my daily driver so bad! I love the look of them!
