I spoke w/ Brett at Vishnu finally today. This is tentative so I won't edit my original post; but just to give you guys a heads-up: Vishnu will charge an extra $200 for the tuning, above whatever you pay for their products. The 2 dates I'm waiting to hear on are 9/27 and 10/25, both Saturdays. These look like the only dates that BM and Vishnu could make -- but I should find out the final date tonight. This is about to be set so please chime in again if you would be in. We're looking for 10 total new XEDE or Stage 0/1 orders; no more than 10 b/c then we start running over on the dyno time.

Thanks.

Too far away now - As soon as the meet comes back to the Metro DC area (like it was originally planned), I'll be interested again.

Hey Chris,
You might want to rethink that, unless there's another local AWDyno. Like I said in the original post, Altered Atmosphere (MD) wanted to use their own tuner instead of Shiv. I assumed we all wanted Shiv so I bagged them. This policy may change in the future, but it sounds to me like they want to be making the extra $$ that Shiv used to make there! It would be great to have some DC guys come up; you guys have a nice following there. BTW, I'm gonna try to stop by TII to see you guys off on the Skyline drive and take some pics -- I'll just convince my wife we're going shopping!

What's the time driving to that place from here (Herndon/Reston)? I am new to the area from CA. When I hear something is 4 states away, I get discouraged...

lol!! Man, you Cali guys! Over here on the east coast you can make it through 4 states in 2.5-3 hrs.; it's not like one big state, man! Anyways, let's put it this way, it takes me about 2 hrs 15 mins to get to NoVa from Philly so it should take you about another hr max to get to BM Tranny. Talk to the other DC guys this weekend and let me know.

Ahhh! One more thing, w/c I know Tim will be very happy about. just got off the phone w/ Vishnu and BM Tranny. Shiv can't do 9/27 so it's either 10/25 or it's November ! Let me know if this is still acceptable for everyone -- it is a while from now and some people might prefer to go to Pruven the first week in Oct. instead (like Adolfo!). Just let me know.

Will shiv also bring equipment to tune a tec II? I will buy an Xede for my Evo but I would want Shiv to tune my Impreza RS-T assuming the motor and drivetrain swap is completed by then. If not, I'll have my Evo tuned with the Xede.

ha! when i lived in NJ (for 20 years!), I used to think driving to upstate NY or DC was a huge journey. And here am I now in the SF bay driving 6 hours to LA and back ever few weeks. Then again, we never see a 55mph highway over here so travel tends to go a bit quicker. On I-5, I just jam on the cruise control at 90mph and sit back and play some tunes

In '96, I did the 425 miles from Sears Point Raceway to my apartment in Hermosa Beach in exactly 5 hours (in my '94 RX-7) -- including spending the first 10 miles in bumper-to-bumper traffic, and a stop for gasoline. I figure I probably averaged 100 MPH on I-5.

I miss California...

When do we have to purchase the XEDE?
Will he bring them out with him or do we need to have it before hand?

Now that type of question would require too much common sense for me to figure out.
I'm assuming that if you purchase one now, you are part of the 10, w/c would help make this thing happen. The good part is you could start using it now; the bad part is that it wouldn't be optimally tuned and that you wouldn't get the bundle $975 package for the unit, harness, and tune. If you do order it now, just play it safe and specifiy that you'd be one of this group. I'll give them the names later anyways.

I'm not sure about your last question; I'll ask Vishnu on Monday.
