Save yourself the hassle and don't buy a MR, trust me.

The transmissions are garbage, I am in the middle of 5 speed swapping mine as we speak. Save yourself money on the front and back end.

Doesn't look like to bad of a deal. It is lowered and has some sort of exhaust, cat back at least. If you like it you could talk em down a bit from 22k. My IX MR was listed for almost 36k with less than 3k miles and I took it for less than 30. I think you might be able to get that VIII for less than 20.

Ignore this. There is nothing wrong with the MR tranny if you know how to drive. I have put over 17k miles on my car since I bought it a year ago and in those 17k I have done plenty of drag racing, launches, dyno runs & even pulling a 1,200 lb trailer 3,300 miles cross country. If you know how to drive the 6 speed is fine. The only problem I can see with it is if you intend to build a 450-500lb plus car. And even then there are some MR trannys out there with that kind of power going through them.

I'm not trying to disrespect you CULVIIIER but what you said is such an overused statement. It's just not totally true.

Buy what you want and enjoy it!!!!

Well the MR trans is fine with not much power IE the kid 2 post above acting like he knows what he's talking about. Mine was fine for 24k with the stock turbo, 500+whp and 2k later I have no 6th gear. So thats why the 5 speed is going in as we speak.

I have a 6 speed with 85k on it pushing over 400awhp for the past 15k... Guess I'm one of the lucky ones. I am however swapping a 5-speed into mine when I finish my build ~650whp

The only 6-speed problems I have heard of consistently is overheating at the track. The one with turns. I haven't heard many issues with drag racing or power.
