I think that the lack of sales issue is more a Mitsubishi thing unfortunately. 
There are also a lot more bikes in the world than cars.

I Know its a cool Idea and Bamboo is very strong and fairly cheap and abundant 
I am going to try to become a dealer for them since I sell bamboo products lol like Bamboo flooring and Shirts

There were some other manufactures with crossover to automotive applications like Panasonic, Sumitomo and some other suspension companies that are starting to get into truck racing (which I guess would be vice-versa)

I like the news better in 2008 from Mitsubishi bank when they actually buying banks in the US
