Hey I roasted my clutch. At the track too!

No need to burn the stock clutch on the stock turbo. I ran 11.9 on the stocker, plus dozens of 12.0s

I've seen Turco there, so he doesn't fall under that category.

Maybe someone should upgrade their clutch sooner than winter so they don't have a problem with a slipping clutch

I rarely ever see another Evo at NED unless its one that I went with. And if I do see another one, it's one that is poorly setup or poorly tuned and running 13's and 14's.

It's funny because we go there and run mediocre times (11's and 12's) and people are amazed because they just never see Evo's or they only see 14 and 15 second ones.

also - I'm at the end of my second twin disk. Tracking the car alot is just too expensive for my blood.

I would rather drop the cash on guitars and other gear.

everybody thinks you have to have a twin disc in a less than 400hp evo. i don't see the point of going twin until over 500 unless u just have a bunch of extra money. Act's or others are proven to work just fine.

not tryin to dig up $hit but why do u feel u need 3 twin discs already in a car that is a 2006 model year and only traps 108???? thats just crazy to me

Maybe some people hate the fact that driving an act clutch feels like you are driving a truck. I know i do. I have under 400hp and i will not be using a single disc

Not really. I have an ACT Heavy Duty and pedal feels just like STOCK.

Torque capacity of 508.

I do agree with Ryan, people follow the bandwagon and purchase clutches for their low 100 traps.

I agree. When I would go up there and run mid 11's on pump, people thought I was the fastest evo in new england or something. When it went 10.7 they all went crazy. Dont get me wrong, I was happy as hell, but there is ALOT faster evo's out there.

nice. Spec makes one for the evo?

its funny when I hear that. In other parts of the country, even just a few hours away in NY and NJ, you will see almost stock evo's goin 12's, I just can't see how a evo can go 14's...

You don't need a twin disc at all. For daily driver that barely sees the track, an ACT or another single disc is fine. (6 puck prob not)
However, if you track the car, launching a twin disc is 100x better than a ACT, and 1000x better when shifting at 8k rpm and up.

If you want the light pedal pressure, get one with a hydraulic throwout bearing

trap speed is HP. Like I said above, launching and shifting are much better with the twin disc if someone is racing their car. I have had both and I would never go back to a single disc clutch like the ACT, but I launch and track the **** out of my car.

I very much prefer using the stearing wheel type racing.

I am not sure what clutch marshall had in his evo before he sold it but it was by no means stock feeling.

I had an ACT 2600 in it. Definitely not stock pressure, and definitely did not like to shift at high RPM's. Couldn't get more than a 13.4 (@107 ) out of it because it would lock me out of at least two gears. If I still had my Evo, I would have already had a twin in it.

Why because they show old "muscle" cars that run 11's with 600 hp like it's still something to be amazed about? I like PINKS, I just hate that they don't have more fast imports on the show. I know it's depends on who whos up and runs consistantly, but they could make it a bit more inviting for the fast import guys. We're not that severly outnumbered...are we?

I wish the weather wasn't going to turn crappy tonight because I really want to go run my car just to see what the hell it will do WITHOUT a damn boost leak. Maybe I'll have the time eventually.
